Capybara

It's really not petty - it's the rules. And I'm asking you, coming from, again, the person who has supported the modding community since I joined it, and the person who has released the most amount of new species, please do not instigate any further. Frontier has let us be, and we're appreciative of that. We know that they know that we're here, but we know not to annoy them with our presence or with "demands". We can't have a modding community if we bite them too hard and they take it all away from us, which they have done in the past.

I cannot enforce rules, but I encourage you to follow them. We have a good thing now, why ruin it? :p
Come on man I am entitled to an opinion....otherwise Frontier is running a dictatorship.

Petty - of little importance; trivial. It is very petty (of little importance and trivial). I disagree 🙂

Again I LOVE THE WORK YOU GUYS DO (MODDERS) 👏 you need trophies.

And just to clarify! I hope I'm allowed to have an opinion. I live in a western democracy lol I would hate for this forum to be a dictatorship where you cannot freely express your ideas. (I'm not used to that level of censorship)

I don't think I'm instigating. I have an opinion which I am entitled to! And it seemed petty in my opinopinion.

Have the rruls changed to NEVER mention mods on the forums?

Because that makes me want to talk about this more...somewhere else more openly. Frontier are not going to censor me...I'm just going to talk about it somewhere else, and a lot louder lol. Lots of places don't censor speech. Like Twitter. Reddit. Youtube.

Anyway. Please keep up the good work and vids lol (They're awesome)

I would hate for my opinions to cause rifts between YOU and Frontier somehow 😋

Hmm that's it,.... it's really weird but .... no comment, your forum, your rules.
Let me just say that restricting the freedom of expression and posting pictures from the game, even with unofficial mods, is fun and says a lot about the developer.
Strange because it does not in any way limit the ability to derive financial benefits from potentially new DLCs, and even extends them, creating a larger community.

But ... you can see that Frontier managers are blind or closed-minded to these arguments.

greetings
You're more than welcome to discuss it as long as photos and links are shown. Only topics (edited: topic was a bad one to choose, just pics n links as mentioned) that officially supported is what's allowed here, and mods are not. But as I said, you can still discuss them freely

Again, see above. The Red River hog was one of the first ones made, but we're waiting on the owner to release it :p Technically it's out there if you look hard enough though. Believe me, we know the Meta Wishlist, and we're keen on adding as much as we can. But keep in mind, we're all individual people with our own wants and likes. For example I love putting new fish in the game, but @Narwhaler loves to work on his Hoofstock. We all take different priorities, and we appreciate our community for appreciating that.
My Post was not meant as critics on the modding community but just meant as an answer to 12344321 post before that modders are listening more on the community Wishes than frontier. And your answer know was exactly that what I meant with my Post above. I am not sure if you are listening more or less because I think most of the modders are doing just what they want to do. And of course it is also the right of every modder to do that. The same applies for frontier and we as the customer can decide if we want to buy the pack or download the mod. And I know that there is an old red River hog mod but it is not usable since a while. But I wanted to give a prominent example 🙂

I'm so disappointed. Never mind "there's an app for that" - I've been spoiled with all the examples of "there's a German word for that". Water pig is such a let down. :ROFLMAO:
It's even worse with wolverine.
What other people think of, when they hear wolverine: Fierce, agile animal you better don't underestimate.
What germans think of, when they hear the german equivalent: A fat, lazy old man. Wolverine is "Vielfraß" in german and that litterally translates to "glutton". I mean, what the heck where german zoologists consuming, when they looked at a Wolverine and thought: "well, that animal eats much" or "You know, this cute little fellow with a long nose really looks like a pig."

Oh, that's exactly the same in Spanish: wolverine is called "glotón" which means glutton. Therefore, the superhero name couldn't be translated because imagine a hero called glutton 😂. So they called him "lobezno" (wolf cub). Now in Spain a lot of people think wolverine means wolf cub because of that. Languages, what a madness!

Might have its Origin in Norse Mythology because if I remember correctly, People back then thought it would squish its Body through 2 Trees to become empty so it could eat again. Just don't know how they could believe something like that

Glutton is also a valid English name for wolverines, and its binomial, Gulo gulo, literally means "glutton glutton". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wolverine#Name has a few insights on its ethymology.

Anyway, I'd like to test this out in-game:

Wolverine is also sometimes called glutton in English. Interestingly, according to Wikipedia:
The wolverine's questionable reputation as an insatiable glutton (reflected in the Latin genus name Gulo) may be in part due to a false etymology. The less common name for the animal in Norwegian, fjellfross, meaning "mountain cat", is thought to have worked its way into German as Vielfraß, which means "glutton" (literally "devours much"). Its name in other West Germanic languages is similar (e.g. Dutch: veelvraat).
