Castles N' Coasters is an amusement park and family amusement center located in Phoenix, Arizona. The approximately 10-acre (40,000 m2) park features four outdoor 18-hole miniature golf courses, several rides, and an indoor video game arcade. The park was built in 1976, and is designed in a Middle-Eastern motif though other eras are featured such as the Wild West-themed miniature golf course and log flume ride.

`Other attractions includes a go-kart track, bumper cars, bumper boats, 2 roller coasters called Patriot and Desert Storm, some thrill rides including Magic Carpet, Sea Dragon, Free Fall and Sky Diver drop rides, and a log flume called Splashdown.

In 1976, the entertainment park originally opened under the name "Golf n' Stuff". It later turned into "Castles N' Coasters" in 1992 after adding its Ride Park. Also expanding to 10 acres which brought two roller coasters, Desert Storm and Patriot, as well as a multilevel arcade.

So without further ado, here's a timeline and pics of my progress throughout the week.

This is looking really great. I had a look at the real place and I think you're doing a great job reproducing it. And I must say, you have some cajones for making the boundaries, such as the highway, first. 100% life-size park replicas are very difficult in PC due to having to work around the limitations of PC paths, the absurdly huge station platforms that can't be entered from the ends, and excessively large flat ride bases.

Creativity is NOT my thing so when I first saw folks doing park reproductions, I thought they were taking the easy way out, just copying something, whereas thinking up your own thing I consider very hard work. But then I tried replicating a park myself and seriously, it's probably the hardest thing there is in PC, due to the above limitations, plus having either to use a stand-in for or create a fake version of a ride that's not in the game, plus building life-size coaster replicas. And then all the billboard images...

So anyway, I raise my glass to all who replicate real parks, especially with this much attention to the real thing. Bravo! [up]

Nice. I somehow missed that this was a recreation. great work with what we have to work with in game.
