CC in career mode

I am on the fourth of the career mode scenarios at the moment and just had a question regarding the CC please, do they carry across each different scenario in the career mode or should I spend them all on each level as they will renew again and just wasted if not used ?

I spent alot of my CC on the monkey zoo campaign but was happy to see I had another 2000 when starting the panda zoo campaign. So I suspect that the CC is per campaign. But I could be wrong. I'll update again one way or the other once I see it when I do the next campaign.
