The second to last leg is on x-mas day at polo. I know that I will be visiting family so away from my PC. I am pretty sure I am not alone here. Can the 25th leg be moved a day or two in either direction. You risk losing people for that dramatic buildup to the last leg. We will be playing catch up, breaking the RP as we try to rejoin the group, carriers will be suddenly absent, militia not there to protect us...

I'm fully aware of that, but the general pace is not fast; we're thinking of organizing arrivals during the whole first week of January, not only on the 2nd - maybe also a mass arrival on Saturday or something; and there are other expeditions/events planned for right after the CCC, so... the schedule won't change. And since a lot of people will be in the same situations, a lot of people will be hitting that basecamp at the same time, be it a day after

It's hard to picture, but the Exploration agenda is pretty filled up

As long as you are confident that this short period of IRL disruption will not negatively impact the event and its significant final day import; then I see no reason for concern. Speaking for only myself, I would hate to travel all that way, make all those new friendships and travel companions only to miss arriving with those same people because of the time of year.

EDIT : Reading my post I seem to come across as a little entitled; Not my intention. I believe events like this are an impotent part of elites future; and I applaud your efforts in arranging this. I hope elite succeeds and I hope this succeeds.

Would be we able to make a general request for occupied escape pods? From the public on behalf of the CCC.

I'm sure there are a few commanders who might want to help but not actually make the trip?

As an escourt, I'm not too fussed, I cant take that much. But perhaps some of the carriers, would be interested in taking them.

I'd be prepared to offer around, 30-50k per pod. Paid on delivery into my hold.

If the response is large, I would be tempted to change roles from escourt to carriers.

Will there be special passenger missions? 1-way to Jaques (not the visitor beacon), with a 5 weeks time limit?
Ideally with ticket prices (= mission payouts) comparable to cargo delivery.

I am asking because during the first Jaques CG I have made the trip with a 448t Type-9, so this time I would like to choose a Beluga. But I would not like to fly with empty cabins, nor to rush ahead for the 3 weeks time limit.

Your choice. You can see what fetches a good price in Colonia in EDDB, but frankly, shipping anything there just for the commodity value would be a losing proposition - your ship's repair needs would probably eat up all the profits.

From a RP perspective, anything that is needed for a good christmas celebration. Various selections of rare goods (drinkable, eatable, smokeable) have already been posted here and in the Discord channels. However, getting a decent freighter filled up with rares would be a challenge.

Then there's drzdeano, who wants to ship occupied escape pods - Jaques needs more inhabitants.

And finally, there's the suggestion to ship some meta alloys, because trolls.

Oh, and if you want to switch from freelancer to carrier, check your guns. Carriers shouldn't carry big guns, i.e. have to rely on the escorts to get them out of trouble.
