[CCN] The Christmas Carriers Convoy

Hello, just registred as a carrier. Haven't read everything yet. but the small amonut that I did read, said that we carriers are limited in how many weapons we can have or none at all. How does it work? Don't wanna be blown up at the ceremony :p

Couple weapons at most. If you're armed to the teeth, you can only be a Freelancer (or Escort if you sign up for the responsability). That's part of the RP ;)

I registered as CCC Escort with my Orca and since decided to take my Clipper. Would it be possible to change once the roster updates?

Will do.

Great - signed up. I was already on my way there so will continue my "dress rehearsal" at a bit more pace now to ensure I am back for the kick off.

Freelancer for the moment in the Good Ship "Cronus" - a shiny Gold 'Conda - well, she was originally. Might need her polished up a little when I get back.

Roll on the 2nd Dec.!

Rock'n'roll, baby!

Hello to whomever it may concern, I've recently just rigged up a Type-9 for the journey now as I wish to be of more use. So can I have my ship details on the roster changed from my Asp x named Sparrow to my brand new Type-9 heavy named Rubber duck please :D

*sigh* Yes, YES, I'll do it.

I missed out on Distant Worlds.

Not going to miss this.

Welcome aboard :)

Awesome trailer very well done [yesnod]

Thank you, the team will appreciate all the thanks :)

I'm assuming here; but will the average jump range for most of the ships being escorted be averaged down into the 17-23LY range given their roles or are we going to be chasing engineered 40+LY carriers?

I don't know if I can engineer my conda to a point of being able to keep up in the limited play time I have between now and the 2nd, which is why I ask. Might need to switch ships.

Since I will fly an engied T9 with 25 LY range (empty) I think the escorts will be fine ;) CANT WAIT by the way ;P Just sayin'

Not going as carrier, but as Stratotanker (hope I and a couple of rats will find time on one of the next weekends for some training...) in an engineered Python. Loaded jump range currently slightly above 20 ly, hope I get some Chemical Manipulators for one (or a few) more rolls from Felicity to get that up to maybe 24 ly.

Regarding upgrading your 'conda: which level are you with Felicity and what would you need?

I believe my T-9 full of cargo and other items runs just over 19Ly fully laden. I am hoping to get it over 20Ly but I need to do some more grade 5 FSD range upgrades to try an max that out. I thought I heard/saw somewhere that anything less than 20Ly will make your trip more difficult, but people have gotten out there and back on 15Ly jump ranges.

I did it in a 18 LY Cutter without problems (apart from many jumps). I heard above 16 and you are fine for most of the way.

Thanks for the info. I guess 19Ly isn't bad but I'd still like to see if I can push between 20-23Ly. I just dont know how much I am going to be able to squeeze out of her.

I think I'm level 3 with her? It's been awhile since I've been there.

I'd been running mods on a Python and then pushed over to a Conda for the hell of it but haven't gone back to roll DD or FSD upgrades.

Level 3 needs, apart from the Materials, a Modular Terminal. If you need one, give me a shout and we can meet up at or near Deciat, preferrably around 19:00-20:00 game time, some day before the convoy takes off. I got a few spares at the moment.

Same goes for Articulation Motors, if you (or anyone from the Escort group - you'll have too be signed up!) wants e.g. a lvl3/4 overcharge upgrade for their MCs from Todd. I don't want to take them with me, and I'll only take two guns.

Interesting.

I will study this thread in detail later, but I like what I see so far.

Is the expedition in need of a heavily modded Combat asp as an escort? :) Or maybe an Anna?

Most important is to fly what you want ;) If you can attend the main event or the basecamps meetups, a peacekeeper is always welcome.

If my T7 passenger liner makes it back from the core in time, I shall be bringing a Brandy filled Beluga Liner for christmas :)

Santa likes a little warm-me-up when he goes on tour :D

I plan to shape my Cobra MkIII up to become even more explorer ready. I've maxed my rep with 11 engineers now, with a few more planned before the off, then I'll get to work on the Reptile.

Signed up. I'll be taking my ultra-engineered federal Corvette, the ROU Killing Time, and can act as Escort as and when. I've been meaning to take my Corvette out there for a while, but never decided on exactly when. The idea is to have a combat ready Corvette out there and one in the bubble too, depending on where and when possible alien hostilities strike.

My only problem is that I won't be around for the launch on the 2nd (back on the 4th at some time) and my game time can sometimes be intermittent, but I'll endeavour to catch up and protect the convoy as best I can :)

The more I read this thread, the more excited I'm getting. Count me in. Reporting to Souvarine for duty! Ready to serve and protect o7

Do the Militia ships have to be green? I realise I am a mere civvy at the moment so maybe I don't qualify for the green.

I might not be back from work 6pm Dec 2nd. There's an event this Sunday? Will be there.

Oh god, people are taking FDLs?

Make sure we pack a lot of whiskey, they're going to need it by the time we're done.

Well, by the time my T-9 gets there, I may have drank all the whiskey on board... They need empty barrels right? I'm sure they could find a use for empty barrels.
