Dry run report.
As feared, instancing is not reliable nor fast enough to allow us to stick to the plan for the main departure event. As a consequence, we will have more beacon ships, hence dividing all participants to several mid-size instances (20, 25 ships tops). The dispach will be done by Souvarine and myself via a chat and voice channel on the Discord. Then you will be taken care of. Security protocol will be simplified. As Escorts will be spread among several instances, I decided to move the event to the FleetComm private group to lessen the risks. I'm sure that at least one instance will do it in Open, if you really want to do it there. At some point we can't fight the software, so I decided to make it easier for everyone, the logistics, the game and the CPUs.
So, basically, the only change for the main event participants is the switch from Open to FleetComm.
I remind you to set your Discord roles or you won't be able to access the dedicated text and voice channels on D-day!
This should allow us to form instances in a very short time, without too many instancing issues. The US launch will be coordinated the same way, 6 hours later, by Pendragon55555 and MostlyAwol.

Christmas Carriers Convoy Cyber Monday
Over 300 CMDRs are currently preparing for the CCC to take off on December 2nd. A lot of those CMDRs are currently scouring the known Galaxy to find the commodities necessary to satisfy the Engineer's demands so that they can get some upgrades which could well prove to be vital for this journey.
Meet up on Cyber Monday. Some of you may have commodities you won't need right now and certainly don't want to lug across half the Galaxy, wasting valuable cargo space. Others will be frantically looking for exactly that junk that is currently hogging your cargo racks.
Then there's our escorts. Escort ships won't have the cargo space to do hundreds of transport missions in order to get those upgrades that could save your life. So donate what you don't need any more instead of selling it off for less than what you'd pay for the fuel to cruise into a station.
Or you might be a big trader in a big ship, and even a customs inspection wouldn't notice those few dozen tons of commodities in your vast cargo space. Nevertheless, this is your opportunity to clean out some of that junk before embarking on the long trip to Colonia and do a good deed.
Thread here.
