[CCN] The Christmas Carriers Convoy

Around a Neutron /star?

Please you have to give me the system name when you have claimed it, I have a use for rare locations.

Yes & of course :)
Starting your own galaxy travel agency?

Hoorah. My first foray into Exploration, made it to Colonia.

According to the logs I have 400 first discoveries. Sadly only 2 ELW's.

Once the event finishes, I think I will press on. Space madness? Possibly.

Space madness for an explorer would be to stay, so I'd say you're a perfectly normal explorer, ie. space mad, oh, wait...;)

Well done,

I would recommend resting for a couple of months as there is a Coloina expedition in the planning stages for March.

No but I can add it to one of my cryptic location searches, as I am always on the look out for interesting locations for them.

C3E/CCC ENDING PICNIC EVENT

Ahoy brave travellers!
To mark the end of both the Colonia Core Circuit Expedition and the Christmas Carriers Convoy, I propose a picnic on the 2nd of January, starting at 18:00 in-game time. Just a loose gathering, to show our cleaned, refuelled and rested ships :) Here's a few ideas:

- Gathering starts at 18:00 IGT in EOL PROU LW-L c8-306
- Common mass jump at 19:00 to Colonia
- Flyby over Colonia Hub in memory of Carrie Fisher, who recently passed away
- Tokyo Drift-style SRV race on the freight docks at Colonia Hub
- Ship-Launched Fighters race on the same docks, if that's manageable

Let's hope instancing will be kind :D

I'd be glad if someone was willing to coordinate in voice comms ;) Just ping me if you wish to.

I will be there :)

With regards to the drift racing, you can jump over the landing pads @ Colonia Hub if you want to use it as a start point, I will send you the link from my off road challenge test.

Alas, I won't be able to make it. I'm working all day that day. :( Instead I'll plan to spend the coming of the new year at Jaques or thereabouts, and maybe I'll start the long trek home after that.

Ok so some of you have arrived there. I have been to Colonia 3 times. I went back there a week before you set off and scanned a lot of systems
through the starports that your convoy to the bubble.

"Yes this system is mine" sorry as an explorer it is great to get your name on a systems 1st discovered, I do still shout this out when I go exploring.

I will come over and see you all in my engineered modded ASP soon.

I hope you all liked when the night sky was not so dark any more about half way.
The last starport on your route had so many systems to discover.

Have a good journey brave CMDRs. I should of come with you. have a happy new year all of you.

Some shots I made during the trip:

Welcome to Jaques, commander. I arrived a few days ago and it is my first long haul exploration trip in my new Asp X. This trip was amazing. I am lookking forward to the next one (and the celebration on 2nd Jan 3303).

I have to say: nice shots. I still have to play around to find out how to take great pics. I found a thread (I think from our well known Quohen Leth) about how to take great photos. I still have to work on that.

ANd I have to say that I slowly warm up to the Conda. I never considered this ship as a choice because it is extremely expensive (like the Cutter) and the cockpit is awkward when exploring and taking in the space around you. I preferred the Lakon ships (Asp and T-9) for their great cockpit dome. But I have to admit now that the Conda is really sexy! I might have to grind some missions to finally be able to afford one.

But the next thing on my list when back in the bubble is to get some engineers into my service. FSD needs work! Being able to have a loing jump range laden is really something I wish to achieve for my T-9 to start another attempt in flying to Colonia carrying some goods. I enjoyed the trip in the Asp but I initially had started in my T-9 and I missed flying it on those 22k Ly.

Anyway. Hope to see you out there on 2nd Jan.
