Bounty Hunting cg in some random system with Salvation on the move and Marlinists in Achenar on what I hope is a diplomatic mission.
With the NMLA arc in its epilogue and the Salvation arc in its final chapter, I guess they're wanting to leave themselves a bit of space to set off a few new storylines at once.
(And the CG itself is fairly routine, but if Federal security forces are having to spend so much time shooting protestors they don't have enough spare to do actual security work, that's really not a good sign and not something the Federation can fund its way out of with CGs everywhere at once)

Quite an assumption there. I'd agree if you'd said the Adamastor arc is about wrapped up. But historical lore revelations aside, that arc largely served to introduce Salvation (and on the other side, the Witch/Azimuth) as powerful background figures who are going to be with us for the foreseeable future.
Of course there's some notable amount of story that's been stalled waiting on the Odyssey code merge. Braben said as much in his announcement. So we might be in for a bit of a lull of fillers until they push that through, if we're nearing the end of what they had planned that didn't depend on that.
Oh, I'm definitely not saying that there won't be more Salvation-related stories now that the character has been introduced.

The megaship Trobairitz has arrived in the Reorte system to support the efforts of the Reorte Pro-Alliance League.
In recent weeks, the Reorte system has forced the expulsion of Sirius Corporation and refused to accept the strategic defence pact. Since then, there have been proposals from its controlling faction to renounce Allied membership and declare independence. But this has galvanised others to campaign for Reorte to remain in the Alliance.
Louisa Leblanc, chief administrator of the Reorte Pro-Alliance League, gave a statement to The Alliance Tribune:
“The proposed partnership with Sirius Corporation Is restricted to increasing defences against the Thargoids. We do not believe this will be disruptive enough to justify losing all the myriad benefits of membership in the Alliance.”
“The Reorte Pro-Alliance League is pleased to be supported by the Alioth Independents faction. A megaship, the Trobairitz, has been supplied to us and will serve as the centre of our campaign for Reorte to remain an Allied system.”
Sirius Corporation has officially stated that this situation is an internal matter for the Alliance. Sources within the Alioth Independents suggest that Sirius Corporation delegates has been briefed on the situation.

Sirius inside Old Worlds systems is unacceptable. All factions inside Old Worlds systems should cease fire and concentrate their efforts on fighting Sirius !!!
After Sirius forced us out of central systems we created Old Worlds as safe heaven from Sirius and evil corps like it.

Anyway, I can confirm there is indeed a megaship in Reorte, and it was there before the news, I think. Either Fdev are getting better at misdirection, or there will, indeed, be a CG there soon.
A Marlinist megaship showed up in Achenar and two Salvation megaships went to Guardian systems. Between that and Reorte, it's hard to predict what's going to happen this week.
But we didn't get news (yet) for those 2, unless I missed them.

Nope you did not miss them... expect Fdev have been moving CGs about as well as galnet news posts as update 11 was delayed by over 3 weeks.. from feb to march... which is why rewards for CGs did not work as well...
With galnet not allowed to be fluff peaces, every news story is still linking to ingame actions...
this current CG is still linked to hudsons election and wanting to rule for longer...
Soon be 1PM GMT and the next galnet news should leak after... Wars start 1 day before the CG so as normal look wednesday for new wars..

Salvage CG for the 3 powers to build there version of salvation super weapon could be announce via an anti aegis news story tomorrow with salvations fleet getting there early before the 3 powers request we strip each planets clean of guardian stuff...
the last anti aegis new was over 2 weeks ago so it would link...

Not sure anyone has reported this - but there are two Marlinist factions in Achenar - looks like the Marlinist Reform Party turned up around the same time as the Free Marlinists of Carinae, though they don't own anything. Could foreshadow something going to happen
