The Free Marlinists of Carinae are the because they own the megaship that showed up a week ago that Galnet mentioned on Monday. The Marlinist Reformation Party could be connected to that, but I suspect it's probably a dev oversight.

Then again, the MRP is also the faction that used to support the NMLA until they got reorganized after the Marlinist Civil War, so it could be foreshadowing.

TAURUS MINING VENTURES BEGINS SCIENTIFIC STUDY​

The megaships Musashi and Heart of Taurus have entered the Synuefe EN-H d11-106 Synuefe CE-R C21-6 system to perform a mining-related research operation.
Taurus Mining Ventures is an independent mining corporation closely associated with Salvation. It has acted as his intermediary in recent months, directly supporting his efforts to combat the Thargoids.
Dr Ruben Carpenter, head of the company’s research division, provided a statement:
“We have recorded some unusual radioactive signatures in the Synuefe EN-H d11-106 Synuefe CE-R C21-6 system. This has had a transformative effect on the molecular structure of certain naturally occurring substances.”
“Our objective is to perform a detailed analysis of these irradiated materials and determine if they have value as mineable resources. Customised laboratories have been set up aboard both megaships, and work is already underway.”
The Empirical, an independent journal aimed at the scientific community, commented:
“As yet, the detection of atypical radiation signatures within EN-H d11-106 CE-R C21-6 has not been verified by secondary sources. Our editorial team has reached out to Taurus Mining Ventures for clarification.”

Edit Galnet was hacked to hide the real locations of salvations mega ships... Has been edit after with real location of a mega ship now... Galnet does not Know were the Musashi is... Check on board ship galnet news for corrected location of Heart of Taurus and Musashi...

Attack on ALD by Marlinists guests, saved by her brand new guards dudes. Empire is mad at marlinist, marlinist say it's some NMLA related minority.

Most likely yes.
I mean, it's obvious it's a smokescreen for Guardian related tech acquisition. Perhaps we'll get a "protect salvation scientist" vs "stop salvation scientist" CG ? Or just a "grab guardian stuff for the ship" CG, foreshadowing future events (protect said megaship from thargoid as it gets back to salvation).

Kietrax has logged in allready multi times this week normaly only does that for more complex cg post...
So hoping for something New and not just cargo/salvage/data CG...

I can't. The Marlinists aren't dumb enough to do something like that after fighting so long just for survival, and I don't think there's enough NMLA supporters in the Reformation Party for them to try anything stupid. Plus ALD certainly has maximum security after her recent freezer incident, so now would be an especially bad time for an attempt on her life.

The thing is, why would Salvation want to hide that? He's never been shy over the fact that he's using Guardian technology, so I don't see why they would need to keep it secret. I think they're telling the truth about the radiation, but I think it's probably Guardian related or there's more to the story that Taurus isn't telling us.

Unless some minority want to trigger a war.
Or some 3rd party want to. And fake being marlinist. Say some senator group, or perhaps even the fed/some megacorp. Who knows.

Dunno. He is called "salvation" so it seems the guy like to hide stuff. Plus, people may realize that someone who is hellbent in making a "superweapon" can be quite dangerous, eventually.

Reorte system remains cold after galnet news and has not yet started a civil war, system remains cold so far...
Could be bribes to populous via cargo CGs for each side instead...

So:
  • Reorte should have had a War started (usually Tuesday) if it was going to be this week
  • Achenar has no presence for one of the Marlinist groups, so doesn't look ready
  • The Salvation m/s aren't where they need to be for the Mining CGs to kick off - maybe the Galnet was too early?

... not sure what will happen this week - knowing my luck all three, plus a Rares CG for variety :)

Don't megaships only jump on Thursdays with the server maintenence? Maybe they were supposed to jump then and today's Galnet was supposed to go up on Friday.

Normal rules yes..
But hand of god does what it wants... when it wants... scripts save manual work... but hand of god can move things as she likes...

Decoy 1 looks the most fun, especially if there are ground combat zones. Annoying Sirius and the mighty Green steamroller (honestly we're not as bad as the the Fednecks or Impies) is worth the admission price alone
