CG predictions...

I can hear the Lore Team crying from here : "But we were just planning on having a nice quiet peace conference where everyone goes home with a better understanding of galactic politics and lives in harmony for the next five years"
you can imagine the sweat beads forming on the brow, cursory glances at each other, pretending they haven't seen the forums expectations hahaha

FDev certainly seem keen to make sure we've all got Sirius permits. Is this an admission that unlocking Qwent is tiresome/still broken, or are things about to take a more Sirius turn?

Not all.
only 75% out of 10500 players that took part in the CG

That's a really small part of what is estimated to be a 300,000+ regular player base (that is players that play the game at least once every several weeks)

ALLIANCE PROTESTS TRIGGERED BY CANCELLED ELECTION

The postponement of the election for a new prime minister has led to widespread public disorder across Alliance systems.
The Alliance Assembly vote was scheduled for Thursday the 25th of February. This date clashed with the start of the Galactic Summit, causing incumbent Prime Minister Edmund Mahon to propose that the election be delayed for three months.
On many Alliance worlds, large-scale protest marches have placed pressure on local police forces. Some civil leaders have condemned Mahon for using the diplomatic conference as an excuse to extend his term of office.
Mahon has referred to the unrest as being caused by a ā€œvocal minority of agitatorsā€, and insisted that the delay is in the Allianceā€™s best interests.
Councillor Nakato Kaine, Mahonā€™s main rival, has given the protests her full support. She has become a figurehead for public dissent, with some political pundits suggesting that she might have won the election had it been held this week.
Speaking to The Alliance Tribune, Councillor Kaine said:
ā€œThis is the latest in a string of short-sighted decisions, and itā€™s clear that the people no longer trust their prime minister. For this reason, despite believing the Galactic Summit to be a waste of time, I will be attending the conference to ensure that Mahonā€™s agenda does not dominate proceedings.ā€

The irony being that if Mahon had just held the election this week - or even brought it forward a few days to avoid a clash with the summit - there wouldn't have been the protests and Kaine probably wouldn't have won it...

Very risky behaviour on his part, especially since the Assembly can just force his resignation at any time anyway. It'll be interesting to see what he thinks makes it worth it.

Is that a NPC or Player faction?
I would guess NPC, since the "in the news" rule should be stopping PMF placement there.

Independent Cooperative ... doesn't give a lot of hints as to who it might be, since that's the government type used by both AEGIS and the Colonia Council and a whole bunch of stuff in between ... and the name doesn't say a lot about who they're protecting from who.

Most interesting: it's an ecologist faction trying to protect the native ecosystems from Sirius, and they're going to have some sort of CG to collect evidence to expose Sirius corruption.
Least interesting but more likely: it's an AEGIS-type anti-Thargoid faction which is going to have a CG to build more defences there.

Dammit. Misread that as 'Persuaders'.
Now I'm dissapointed.
