THE ADAMASTOR ENIGMA

Pilots Federation ALERT
Commanders have reported receiving anonymous instructions regarding the 200 year old derelict megaship orbiting Chukchan 5 b.
A communications beacon stored onboard the Adamastor began receiving and rebroadcasting an encrypted signal on the 8th of April. Efforts by authorities to trace and decipher the signal proved unsuccessful.
However, a number of independent pilots claim to have been contacted by an anonymous source, who provided an access key to decode the Adamastor signal.
Commander Rex Trevelyan gave this statement to Vox Galactica:
“Not long after arriving in the Chukchan system, my ship received a message from someone calling himself ‘Salvation’. He provided a decryption key, and when I downloaded the signal from the Adamastor it became readable. It seems to be an automatic SOS from its sister ship, the Hesperus.”
“I’ve heard that some Commanders have made sense of the navigational data in the signal. It feels like pilots are being recruited for something, but who exactly are we working for?”
The Pilots Federation has begun an inquiry into the situation. The identity of ‘Salvation’ remains unknown, but there are reports that the Adamastor signal contains data that has led to its sister ship.

.... so Salvation is recruiting us ....

So it jumped last Thursday

Them and the Steel Majesty, since they are all collaborators now.
Yes. I wonder if this is the plan, in fact.

- Landgrave transferred to an orbital station for ACT questioning
- NMLA agents take this opportunity to transfer some bombs as well
- station damaged, Landgrave and ACT interrogators all die
- NMLA agents capture the Steel Majesty and jump to hyperspace

In exchange for relatively minimal damage to Marlinist assets, the superpowers are convinced that the Marlinist Colonies aren't connected to NMLA (not even Whyte), while ACT suffers a serious setback.

In this case, it's probable that Scordato is also NMLA.

Neither of the assets in RO-P b6-2 are bombable so far as we know, so they'd have to be interrogated elsewhere anyway.

So ... burning station this week, Hesperus plot next week? Or the other way round? Or they could do both of those this week and not have two weeks without a CG?

Btw: Anyone else noticed so far that ever since the State Funeral Held for Prince Harold Duval noone has seen Emperor Arissa Lavigny-Duval in person? Since that all messages from her were delivered via the Chancellor...
She is locked up tight since she is presumed to be a high value target, what with T7 about. Might be perceived as weakness or insecurity, considering Aisling and BoyVal are out and about...but then, I'm always wondering why Aisling is never attacked directly too...

She has marvellous… prismatics.

Also I guess the possibility that she was seriously wounded in an NMLA attack, the NMLA assassin was killed before being able to report back, and Blaine is desperately trying to keep a lid on the news until she recovers to avoid damaging the Empire further.
