CG predictions...

Getting the service discounts will be pretty annoying and might not be worth the hassle of camping the system looking for a spot but for buying a carrier itself the carrier count is no problem.

This problem could be solved if there was some kind of megaship they could temporarily add that acted like a celestial body (able to have FCs orbiting it), so they could add a bunch of them to temporarily increase the number of FCs allowed in the system.

Question about this CG pair: why Alcor?

Colonia makes sense - it's a central logistics hub for the region, and the only place that you could apply carrier purchase discounts besides - although, they could still have held the CG in Ratraii or Ogmar and applied the discount to Colonia.

Alcor? Brewer Corporation is based in the Minerva system. That system doesn't have a carrier vendor (oddly) but Alcor isn't even particularly nearby of the ones which do.

Alcor is the only system to have a carrier vendor and a faction with the string "Brewer" in its name, but that seems a bit of a stretch.

Is there some official Alliance interest in the project as well?

Does not work that way any more they put a hard lock count into server now..
They have to remove the coding they added to restrict max number per system. Its no longer just body restricted... So systems with 50 bodies are locked to the same number as a system with only 25 bodies now...
Extra edit = inara states 125 in system... max allowed per system is 128 now...

There's a fleet carrier dry dock behind the station. In Alcor. Has 1 docked at moment. ***But reread your text and see you already knew that... Could be just a case of somewhat close to Sol, and wasn't full carriers at start... Station also not a long way from main star. Could be overthinking it?

No CGs in the schedule - so either they forgot (happens, but it is a quiet week), or ... Salvation week :)

Pretty sure their Tuesday stream is going to be a bit late to help with the CG...

No Galnet today either - there's not a lot of time to set up a CG if there's going to be one (though, admittedly, this week's had no setup whatsoever...).

Could have been a Torval mining one, or even Joker related. They've both been mentioned. Bit early for Hudson to be lined up for yet another kicking. We will see, Salvation was about due.

Seems like the next two weeks could be the next 2 phases of the Colonia Bridge. That would take us to the 28th which is when we get the CB megaships, so maybe the plan is for all of the CB stuff to be done by then and added to the game on the same day.

Possibly, though I would expect the other two phases to be later, both for variety and because there's potentially more interest to be had if the second phase makes use of the megaships from the first phase in some way.

JOKERS’ DECK HIT BY ART THIEF

12 OCT 3307
The secretive gambling circle of the super-rich has been raided by the notorious criminal known only as the Winking Cat.
The information was revealed by Francesca Wolfe of the Wallglass Investigations Agency, who infiltrated the event. Her report, which was relayed from an unidentified location, has been published by her fellow detective Erik Gunnarson.
“I’m not sure this will reach Gunnarson, but I must try. After the security alert the staff started getting their IDs checked, which might have revealed mine to be fake. I managed to slip out of the warehouse and into an abandoned industrial district. I still don’t know what planet I’m on, but I’ve found an old comms transmitter to send this message.”
“Before I escaped, I learned what had caused the alert. There was a VIP ceremony involving the group’s most precious possession: an ancient Joker playing card. Apparently this has been passed between senior members of Jokers’ Deck for centuries, always held by the current host. But when Lexi October publicly unveiled the card, she found it had been replaced by one showing a different graphic – a winking cat.”
“It’s two years since we’ve heard from the galaxy’s greatest larcenist, but there’s no doubt that only the Winking Cat’s legendary skills could have circumvented their security systems. I’m fascinated that a battered scrap of card has greater value than any of the billion-credit items being wagered here.”
“Guards are searching for the thief now. I hope I can get off-world before they find me instead. They’re armed to the teeth and not in the mood to talk…”

Here's a random prediction - if it is Salvation this week it will have something to do with the MA fountain in Ross 692/Vasilyev's Claim. Maybe he's collecting MA this time? The base was only spotted 13 days ago, and they do typically add assets 1 week+ early. Though ofc it could have been in-game for months and just never recorded 🤷‍♀️

Not sure I believe it though, as having an EDO-only source for MA for a CG / event would be quite divisive ... but making it an inexhaustible supply could be to counter the 'dump the meds' actions from last time 🤔

EDDB seems to be showing several more meta-alloy settlements, some of them dating back a couple of months in terms of data age - though only a few of them have larger quantities.

(Oldest is Maire Works in Tauni, 72 days old, but of course some of the others could pre-date that and just have been updated since)
