CG Top 25% Deserve Something Extra

That doesn't make sense. You just contradicted yourself.
I'll quote...
"If you contribute more than others you get more than others.
That is how CGs work, and have worked for a long time now."

Followed by...

"If you don't like that, TOUGH. You don't deserve something extra just because Frontier did a thing that benefited others and didn't negatively affect those higher up"

If you get more for contributing more than others in the CG and the CG ends then Frontier change the rules after the CG ends to benefit others then how can you get more for contributing more than others during the CG.
You just said you Contribute more than others, You get more than others. Then say afterwards, tough you don't. How does that work.
Lets go back over what I said ....
No.
This is not the first CG, and not the first CG in this new run of CG's.
The reward tiers are clearly laid out at the start (although the rewards scale up as the CG gets completed).
If you contribute, you get something.
If you contribute more than others you get more than others.
That is how the CGs work, and have worked for a long time now.

If you don't like that, TOUGH. You don't deserve something extra just because Frontier did a thing that benefited others and didn't negatively affect those higher up.

Seriously, the entitlement is pathetic.
How CG's work ...
Lowest prize, for contributing.
Highest prize, top 10 contributors.
Tiers between those two levels have rewards scaled to those tiers, so for example, if you make it to the top 25%, you get more rewards than the top 50%, this rewards you based on your contribution.

THIS CG SPECIFICALLY
Still paid out a credits reward, but also paid out an engineered FSD to the top 25%
THEN Frontier extended that to the top 75% after people moaned (something it's sad to say is usual for this forum)
There's two moaning threads, one saying the top 25% deserve extra on top of what they got, and one thread saying everyone should get the FSD.

So no, I didn't contradict myself. You have failed to either understand my explanation (which I concede might be my lack of clarity) or you fail to understand how CG's work ... or both.

My word do some people like to throw their dummies out over just about anything on this forum 😂

You got a big cash payout, a new toy and all your combat bond profits and some of you still aren’t happy?

Personally I’m not really bothered by the new FSD even though I’ve earned one.
I’ve managed to pick up pretty much all the new CG toys and I can safely say I don’t use a single one so far.

My biggest reward from all these combat CGs has been refining my ship builds & combat tactics.
Thanks to all the NMLA CGs I’ve now got an almost fully G5 Laser Mamba with a huge MC that absolutely cleans up High CZs to the point where they feel easy now (seriously HazCZs need to be a thing).
After the Witch Head AX CG I was fairly capable of soloing Cyclops, still a bit sloppy but good enough.
Now after this Coal Sack CG I’ve practically got my routine down to a fine art, refined my load out and I’m getting pretty good with Gauss Cannons.

The money and toys are nice but seeing a noticeable improvement to my combat skill and perfecting my ships is my prize. But I guess some people don’t value personal reward as much as material reward.
You dont get it do you!!
Its about changing the damn rules after the cg ended.
Period, end, basta.
It seems nowadays people accept much more then back in the day.

Oh believe me i get it 🤣

There's two types of crying children in this situation:
those who cried that they weren't going to get the new toy that the big kids won and those who cried that the little babies don't deserve the big boy prize they worked hard for.

Both groups sound equally petty and childish in my view.

Yes i agree that FDev moving the goalposts after the game finished is a bit of a stupid move and potentially undermines confidence, but honestly it's just a game and most of us are supposed to be grown ups.
But at the end of the day...

I know what you meant about the CG prize tier, But with FDev changing the prize ladder after the CG was over it kind of (as I saw it) clouded the clarity of your statement a little.

You saying that "if you contribute more, you get more" and then saying after "TOUGH, you don't" is where I saw the contradiction.

Nothing to do with other threads or my apparent failure to understand how CGs work.

I disagree with every word.
It did not end prematurely, it ended when the limit was reached.
Everyone could estimate the finish time by watching the progress on first day.
Staying in the top 25% was hard, else there had not been so many complains about it.
Each CG is designed to last more or less a week, not 3 days. Whose fault was miscalculation of tiers is different topic. Staying in 25% is purely a matter of how much time individual has on his hands to play a video game. I don't know in which part it is "hard" to be wrecking loads of Clopsies with X4 Shards to the face? It's just extremely tedious. Many adults don't have so much time, so it only makes sense to split this grind at least on 5 days, for a lot of people, busy or not, would have fair chance to participate.

PANTHER CLIPPER for everyone seeing as how we at fdev have been dropping the ball!
As a token of our appreciation enjoy this wonderful addition to your fleet!

A cobra mk IV. It's something exclusive for the hard work so the 25% will not complain, and it's also something no one will ever use so you, maintain balance.

Gifting the buffed FSD to the top 50% and 75% participants after all this whining on the forum is nice of you.
But those Commanders that actually did reach the top 25% deserve something extra too.

How about a paint color for our fleet carriers. Lol...

Top 75% percent is ridiculous anyway.
You migh just as well take the top 100% then.
