Horizons Change of Vulture construction for boarding with SRV

Hello.

I used my vulture for some planetary missions. Unfortunatley sometimes there is not enough room to get back into your ship with your srv. there are only about two meters (guess) between the ground and the ship. So sometimes it is almost impossible to get back into your ship.

Yeah same here, I got jammed under the ship in my SRV last night, so told the ship to fly off and come back. It took me two more attempts and about 20 mins of cursing until it finally managed to work, only because the ship landed on top of a slight hill at an angle. Avoiding Vulture landings for now. You can do it though, may take a few attempts.

I really think fd should change the ship design. the vulture is very nice for surface missions. I tried my anaconda before but that was not working so well. you see a lot of anaconda but no planet. ;)

Having this problem every now and then with Asp as well, had to move SRV, dismiss and recall to get better landing place.

I sometimes have to make a couple of recalls and dismissals to get under my Cobra Mk III. I know I love complaining on this forum but I don't actually mind this - It kind of fits with the feel that these are primarily space and spaceport vehicles that are not optimised for rough terrain landings.
Maybe FD will make a ship especially for rough terrain landings in the future.

This happened to me in a conda! The nose was stuffed in so close to the ground I had to dismiss and recall twice

that is a good point! But I do not think that any ships like that will appear in the near future. Untill then this will kill a lot of fun.

Not tried the others, but I can report that I have had zero issues with the Imperial Courier when getting back onboard.

Imperials know how to design their ships.

Just saying.

This isn't exclusive to small ships. I've had problems in a Clipper. The landing gear height is universal among many of the ships regardless of size. Just need to find some better terrain to board your ship on.
