Changing colors of blueprints

Can we change the color of the whole blueprint like building or waterfall?
Or the only way to do this is changing the color of every piece one by one?
Sorry if this question may seem stupid but it is something I am struggling lately.

Changing the color of a group of item is only possible when the 'color property' of all the pieces are the same, that's what I know.
For example, if you made a group of items entirely out of gutter pieces(gutter cap, gutter 0.5m~2m, pipe 0.5~2m), whose color property is 'body paint color', you will be able to change the whole group's color. What I usually do is split the group to smaller parts with the same color properties to make them easier for me to change colors.

Though I don't think we can change the blueprint's color before we place it, like fountain effects. I too wish I could change the color of multi-object group at once like we can change the color of door/window/icon of staff facilities.

Thank you so much for your comprehensive answer.
I was thinking of things like this rock formation with the waterfall. I saw it on the trailer from the aquatic dlc in different color and I thought that it would be easier way to change it than doing it piece by piece.

Some pieces like faux rock arches are possible to change color before placing.

Sometimes I want to copy some buildings from scenario zoos and place them in a different parts of the zoo but it’s a Sisyphean task to change their color since you need to do it piece by piece.

In general, if they’re from the same set (e.g., faux rocks) you can change a whole group at once. If there’s an object from a different set in the group it won’t work. Try separating the waterfall from the faux rocks first - then you should b able to recolour all the rocks at once.
