So, there's a patch in less than 2 weeks, and we really have no idea what it will contain? Also, there will be a reveal a few days before the patch at gamescom, but only for a few select people.

So 28th is 3.2, then 29th they stream to tell us what is in JWE 1.4 - seems FD can work on multiple projects at the same time. Maybe ... games are not dead?

No way man, nobody here misinterprets, over analyses, nit picks to death and makes wild assumptions on anything FD releases. Nope, never happens, just look at this thread, 150 posts all thinking one teaser trailer is something different lol
Hell even if FD released a written statement detailing exactly what was going to happen half the community here would still call them liars and use it as an indication the game is dead/dying.
You guys know you won't be able to find these things unless you go to three separate systems, listen to a staticky broadcast that must be analyzed with audio visualization software that will give you a coordinate, and you'll fly 130kls in a line toward a black hole in a distant system, then the ship will have seven knobs to scan with four new scanners, and you'll get one MEF and some guardian data. You'll have to repeat it seven times to unlock the new Thargoid killing specific "That" gun that can't be used against conventional targets. BUT it will be really pretty.
Do you think being vague is a better solution? I'm pretty sure speculation can only exist in a vacuum.
RE the teaser trailor and that 'Thing' -
It looks big. It's hard to get a sense of scale but early on in the clip there is what looks like a cockpit, black with black tinted windows, looking to be a small part of the whole, and at one point the whole looking like a floating city.
The final shot .. my initial thought .. 'Planet Smasher'. What is that there, a power source ? Mini black hole ? In fact the whole thing looks like it may have lifted straight out of the ground from a guardian site, Couple that with the huge Thargoid bases that also look like they might also rise from the ground at some point then what chance do we really have ? We'd be like ants at a picnic.
Pure speculation of course.

Oh these things don't happen automatically, simple minded people can't stand another opinion and just report them.
It's not Frontier but voluntary moderators who remove the posts.
But we know exploration is the focus for Chapter 4 and work is already underway, and I for one want them to have as much time as possible in Beyond to improve and expand exploration
