Circumnavigation of the Galaxy list

Mmm, so separating my trips into just the one loop is quite the task as I was doubling back occasionally so have no clue as to total distance just for the circumnavigation.
I can though say that after leaving Beagle point post DWE it was 10 months before returning and closing the loop.
My Edsm profile for Cmdr 3.14285 started logging for DWE and was just a bubble account not a dedicated Expo one like now, so apart from getting to Beagle is accurate for overall distance traveled in that time frame

Not a lot of extra info then sorry apart from...

310 ish Days.
Jump range 35 Ly - 60 Ly

Thanks for the additional info.
List updated.

Anyone else found a triple OO-VZ System?

Yes. They are somewhat rare, but if you are screening systems with a high mass letter code in their name (e.g. Dryaa Flyuae AA-A H556, Hypaa Pruae YE-A G5) in sectors that are located in well-populated areas of the galaxy, then I believe it shouldn't take too long to find one. I don't think a system with 4 class O stars has been found yet, at least none appears in CMDR Andrew Gaspurr's list of O-type stars.

Well.... 26 days and about 165k ly down.

And at this point, I literally cannot jump without heading toward the bubble.

That said, it's not going to be a picnic. Due to a mishap just after getting out of the Perseus Arm, I'm down to 26% hull, so we'll see if I can make it back. Should be able to, provided I don't do anything seriously careless. It'll certainly be fun finding out.

Thanks for that I will check it out.

I have started my own recently, in a comfortable Anaconda with 52,66 ly jumprange. You can follow my Progress here: https://www.edsm.net/de/user/profile/id/18367/cmdr/Friedenreich+Xante

I have mostly MC activated when I Play, so feel free to holo-drop-by ;)

Good luck Cmdr and fly safe.
We await your return.

Nice screen shots but take care comping back for repairs you must have module damage too!

Now here is a system that is well worth a visit!

3 x Black Holes
+
4 x Neutron Stars

Nyeakue AA-A h31

I would like to make and maintain a spreadsheet of all Commanders who have completed a circumnavigation of the galaxy.
Anyone interested please upload a screen shot from EDDiscovery as my one below.

or,
I will also accept as verification 4 first discovered systems one each from the rim in the North, South, east and west areas + one first discovered from each of these systems (or systems close to them) Crookue, Schiqo, Chanoa and the Beagle point area.
If you have any thoughts on other information that you think should be included on the spread sheet please let me know.
Thanks in advance
Cmdr Zugswang.

There needs to be a set of waypoints that must be visited in order to determine what officially constitutes a "circumnavigation of the galaxy" since, if I circle Sag-A once, that is a circumnavigation of the galaxy. What distance from the core would an explorer need to maintain as they travel around the galaxy in order to qualify as having "circled the galaxy"? And how would they prove it? Screenshots?

Thanks for your reply.
I see your point but at the end of the day I will have to decide what is acceptable.

I have laid out my required criteria on page one but it is not set in stone.

A certain amount of flexibility is required as it is no easy feat to accomplish but lets say the more boxes you can tick the better.

As shown here, I have completed a galactic circumnavigation. If it helps, my EDSM flight log is public, and the list of ELWs discovered is also available.

The Loop.

CMDR Hanekura Shizuka
LYs traveled: 321k on the loop, about 19-20k more getting there.
Systems: 6142 on the loop, with 355 more getting there.
Days: 36 in the loop (if it's necessary to go into hours and minutes... that's a scary, scary world we live in.)
Jump range: 56.07 ly Anaconda

Congratulations and well done, you have been added to the Circumnavigation of the Galaxy Hall of Fame.

Does it count, if you don't do the Outer Arm Vacuus (aka "Ghost Arm") at the far southeastern edge of the galaxy?

I didn't go that far down in mine, but I did go as far down each arm as I could get. It just wasn't that far into the Vacuus with a 25.7ly jump range and no jumponium (pre-engineer launch).

I think cutting it off completely at the Formidine Rift is bit cheaty though :p
