CMDR Flirble Rasok

"#2: The hunt begins - Ray Gateway"

CMDR Flirble Rasok was recounting the recent events after his near death experience yesterday: his fleet was gone, his rank was gone, all permits and reputations was gone. It was as if his identity had been totally wiped and had restarted from scratch, and he had no idea how this happened. Only thing he knew was that she was responsible, and she would have to pay. He was left to die in this ship, this stock Sidewinder, by leaving the auto-pilot on with a direct course set for the sun.

Fortunately he'd woken just in time to make a narrow escape from a rendezvous with the grim reaper. Now his most immediate task was to track her down and exact his vengeance. But in order for him to start the hunt, he would have to upgrade this little Sidewinder as fast as possible. Yesterday he was lucky to quickly acquire credits by taking "Destroy generators" contracts (which made him wanted in several systems, and venturing into a Hazardous Resource Extraction Site and feast on dying ships under attack. This had rocketed his fortune to +3mill. credits, and he had flown to Ray Gateway to outfit his ship for the hunt.

His last memory before he almost died yesterday, was his visit to the bar in Faraday Ring in the Bunda system. As he went back to talk to the barkeep for more information, and after the exchange of a significant amount of credits, the barkeep told him that she'd said "Maia" in a low voice to her escorts, as she was walking out of the bar.

Next stop Maia.

#3 - Deciat

"Jasmin"

In cold rage he saw the Imperial Cutter taking off from the landing platform. A face was looking out one of the windows, on it an expression of slight amusement.
It was one of the most beautiful faces he'd ever seen, and he knew it well. It was her; Jasmin, the woman who tried to kill him not more than a day ago.

Honestly she was not the first woman or man for that matter who'd tried such an attempt,
and they'd all paid the ultimate price for their failure. Except her. She was however the first who'd earned his trust and then betrayed him.
And she would be the last.

"Umfff"
The muffled sound brought him back to the moment. With one fluent move,
he snapped the neck of the man locked in his arm, the other one already dead on the ground, he turned away from the landing platform and started to walk to his ship, when he suddenly stopped.

He had noticed something under the man's coat as he fell dead to the ground, a flicker of gold. It was a small insignia with the imperial eagle barely visible on the man's shirt.
He'd seen it once before in Alioth, on an Imperial vist, worn only by members of the personal body guard of the Emperor, the Imperial Eagles.
An elite fighting force, a company of men and women with only with the best of the best warriors in the Empire.

This was not a good sign, not a good sign at all. The guard was only assigned to the imperial family and the closest innermost circle of aides.
This was surely going to ruin his day in a bad way. He'd known the man as Ulfar, never far away from Jasmin, always at the ready. this was indeed a secret well kept.

The lead at Maia was good, it had brought him to Deciat where he had landed, looking at all recent arrivals. He discovered Jasmin on the landing pad already boarding the ship,
and when he walked towards her and her company, she recognised him. A mix of shock and surprise flashed briefly on her face,
but was immediately replaced with her usual cold expression, and she had ordered two of the bodyguards, Ulfar and Roq against him, delaying him enough for her to get boarded.

There could be only one reason why Jasmin was at Farseer inc, she was there to outfit her ship for long distance travel.
He knew she was rich, but not Imperial Cutter rich. The Imperial Cutter was reserved for a very few select pilots, who had demonstrated
utmost dedication to the Empire and had very deep pockets.

He would have to supercharge his ship to catch her, he would have to go see Felicity Farseer about a ship.

#4 - Assassin

"So he lives, Flirble is still alive. You said your plan would work, Duke conDoin."
"Yes, mylady, it would appear so. There was no other way. Federal agents were closing in on you, and we had to throw them off fast."

The ship was taking off from Farseer Inc, preparing for the hyperspace jump and Jasmin was in the captain's cabin with Duke conDoin, head of her protection detail.

"But still, he's alive and now I have to deal with him, not as a close friend, but as an enemy."
"He was expendable, not one of us, mylady. A pawn to be used and played."
"I know, but I'm not so sure anymore, he survived the attempt, and the way he so quickly dispatched two of your men, Duke. I sense there's more to Flirble than meets the eye."
"I agree, I've never seen anyone move like that. Ulfar and Rog were two of my best men, it is worrying. Should I order Flirble killed, mylady?"
"No, Duke, the moment has passed. We must proceeed wtih our journey to Jaq..."

Her sentence was halted by shouts, the sound of men running and lasers firing.

"Stay in the cabin, mylady. I'll see wha..."

The door opened to the cabin and a stranger dressed in ship's crew clothing, holding a laser in his hand aimed it at Jasmin. Before he could fire,
a laser beam pierced his chest and he fell dead to the floor. Jasmin lowered her laser gun and spoke:

"Would you be so kind as to see to this mess, Duke. Dispatch his assassin twin, and let's continue to Jaques Station."
"Yes, mylady", said the Duke and began shouting orders to his men.
