My first ugly contact with a CMDR since Release... a fully kitted ASP with a very enthusiastic pilot. Blame on me, for I was not knowing what I was doing. He ripped off my Cobra :D:cool:

An epic double battle. My legs are still shaking. This is why I bought this game! I'm euphoric right now.

I shall take my revenge sooner or later, Redan!

Got me earlier today going into Erani. Wasn't paying attention and tried to run. Got away but lost some cargo. Beefed up so I can put up a fight next time. Gave you 3s to drop your cargo?

I interdicted him tonight. Paid for it with my life. Most fun I've had so far, he played more than fair. Gave me the opportunity to get out with my life at the cost of half my cache of Eranin Pearl Whiskey. I declined and engaged. He bested me and I was humbled.

Oiy. Pirates are easy. Just submit to interdiction, as soon as you're in normal space, full power to engines, boost over and over. As soon as your FSD cools down, jump back to super cruise. If he continues to interdict you, jump to another system.

If you're really bothered, you can add players to ignore and never encounter them again. A bit extreme, but it's built into the game so they'll never be in an instance with you if on ignore.

Of course, this type of encounter is the nature of Open play, so most people prefer to just accept it as part of the experience. All I'm saying is that the option is there.

This is all quite flattering, of course, but I feel obligated to tell anyone who cares to listen that should any Commander, regardless of what they are flying, choose to take it upon themselves to bring me to justice, then they shall be quite disappointed I'm afraid.

Commander Eddy Gurge, and any one else who intends to seek me out...You may find me daily around the beta access systems (Eranin, Aulin, etc) with the occasional visit to SoL. All Federation space is fair game but allow me to part with a small wisdom: As I've told the others who have tried before you....Bring valuable cargo to barter for your life and sue for pardon. The only survivors will be the ones smart enough to pay for their own lives.

CANT BE LOL HAHAHAHAAHA I just did the same thing! (I'm the OP) and I scanned him with your Eranin Pearl Whisky before he decided to consign my scrap Cobra to the Void.

Would you mind sharing your weapon loadout? I currently near Sorbago, so it would take some time for me to get to Eranin in my Viper and I want to have a correct combo when I finally face you.

Yesterday, I provoked CMDR Redan to fly ~150Ly towards me and made him fight me. Neither of us managed to shoot down each other, but I managed to get through some of his hull and made him escape to SC (he is a very cautious type - when his shield recharges were depleted - he ran). We had 2 encounters. So here is the video of a first one [duel: Redan on ASP vs me on Viper]: I had to speed it up a little - couldn't fit more than 15 minutes on youtube

I decided to keep the trash-talk, because I think it was a great fun :) (Sorry, I forgot to increase HUD brightness when I was docked to a station, so it's not as easy to read chat, though I tried to compensate for it, by increasing sharpness of that part of this video)

As a bottom-line: - if you are not prepared, then you better share some of your cargo with a proper pirate, such as CMDR Redan. I know that I wouldn't be able to survive on my Type 6 if I were interdicted. It is great and exiting to know that there is some proper danger roaming through the galaxy, waiting for me or someone else to ambush.
