Coaster Types in Alpha 2

How many of you know what the Ricochet is?

FYI it's a wild mouse coaster from Carawinds. Seeing Ricochet helps no one but regional people know what the ride is.

I agree. I don't like the naming of the coasters. I wish they would create some fake manufacturing names that represent the real manufacturers. I see this a lot in racing games. As an example, for B&M, you can use M&B or any combination of letters, it really doesn't matter, most people will get the idea. Also, I don't see why they can't use standard coaster types like Floorless, Hyper, inverted, etc.

I thought you meant those were not normal coasters to be seen in theme parks, [big grin]

It won't be Bobsled. Most likely named "La Vibora" or something like that.

That was indeed what i was thinking. I can also imagine a wooden coaster behaves a littlebit different then a steel coaster. But thats just some assumption.

I hope the bobsled (or whatever it's name will be) will get confirmed soon.

I wouldn't get carried away with expecting all of those coaster types will be in Alpha 2, after all they showed water in the streams which they categorically said would not be in the next build.

I wouldn't mind waiting for woodies if it means that they are going to make them good and look better than... rctw.

But I would demand them for release, though!!

Well, I guess that means I may not be doing much in parks as I am better at making wooden coasters than steel ones. [cry][cry]

I could imagine that, how one build a coaster in PC is not so easy to create with a wooden coaster, just because of the supports.

As I knew most of the coaster builders here, the first thing that they will say is "the supports doesn't look realistic, the track looks wrong, etc. etc. ". I have read tons of comments like that just about the two "inofficial" coasters in the Alpha 1, that the track was not look like a realistic arrow-track and so on. I always ask myself, why must the coasters and rides look realistic, if the rest of the game doesn't?

From what I saw in the stream there are going to be 14 types in Alpha 2. Also, I saw the name were changed to more generic, like wing, dive, etc...with place holders for more information. There is a new thread with the updates talked about in the stream. New Thread Here

Yep, and I updated the list in the original post after watching the stream - it now has more coasters and some have been changed based on the info in the stream. I also posted the list in the thread you linked to.

Thanks Stream. Yeah I didn't get all the names when I rewound it. just took a quick look and wanted to get back to the stream. I will be taking another look at the uploaded video later as I am sure most of us will be too. [squeeeeee]
