Cobra Mk V and more...

I'm unclear whether the numbers provided in the stream include the slot for the Planetary Approach suite, which would make it 9 for the MkV, but only losing one size 1, so virtually no difference for cargo, etc.

I think all previous announcements told us free optionals (for Python Mk II, Type-8 and Mandalay)

Another Cobra being worse than chad Cobra MkIII but this time early access Arx exclusive for three months. Frontier genius...

Please, STOP with small and medium ships, there are a lot of them, we need more big ships with good firepower already, the big three + Type10 have been alone for too long.
Corvette MkII … smaller, lighter, faster … basically saw the front of the current ‘vette, keep the 2 Huges then 4 medium hardpoints along the top front.

I prefer a new Gutamaya ship focused in combat, not in the line of the multipurpose Clipper and Cutter, all of their specialised combat ships are small. Also it fits in the lore as a "counter" to the Corvette.

The Cobra Mk 5 would be great if there was sufficient reason to ever step back inside a small ship once you've got easy access to medium and large ships (and the money that goes with them). As it stands, I honestly don't think I'll bother picking this up. There's literally nothing for me beyond novelty and nostalgia.

It would be wonderful if you could expand the gameplay to give some....ANY advantage to small ships:

I love using a small, speedy ship for scouting out areas to see if there's a gank squad lurking about. If they blow up my cheap little ship, who cares?

I also prefer using my Cobras for ground missions; they can land in areas my bigger ships have difficulty with. And, again, they're expendable if something goes wrong.

They're also fun to fly. Fun is why I play.

No but March 10th ish would be in line with the other new ships,
I wouldn't count on that. We only have two ships out of ARGHS prison yet. One took 3 months, the other 4 months, and until FDEV actually announce anything it's just guesswork.

Are you sure it's going to be for ARX? Did they clearly say that on the stream? Maybe in honor of the anniversary they'll just give it to everyone?

Of course we can't predict anything, based on what we had this year (but wait... somehow people do it constantly if they want to predict something bad...)
But jokes aside...
If all four new ships are 'new generation ships', what was clearly said.... I think we can expect more ships next year too. And I don't feel like this expectation will be too much, especially if it helped earn money this year. Personally I love ships! :D

Cobra V is in the Elite Dangerous Wiki. Its a medium ship, which is a disappointment. Cobras should be small ships as the III and IV are.

I actually expected a Saud Kruger ship for SCO -- say an Orca Mark II -- as the 4th new ship.
