Cobra Mk V in-game availability?

The above posts just made me realise once more how normalised the concept around alt accounts has become. I can't think of any other game I ever played or even heard of apart from Elite that makes you buy another copy of the game, just to have a second (third, fourth, etc.) save slot. And as a result, doesn't share any DLC purchased already either.
I used to buy quite a lot of games, then got bored of yet another shooter, or poorly crafted RPG, or another racing game, and stopped paying for WoW years ago...

Buying a bunch of alts, plus expansion, over the last few years has still cost me less than I might have spent on AAA games when they were interesting. Still buy the odd game, but, mostly save my pennies for my other hobbies, works for me.

But then, I choose to do so, FD doesn't actually make me buy anything at all.

... however people sometimes have multiple accounts - even me, new as I am, couldn't resist buying in the Steam sale to have an alt commander. (I have no idea how to find the time to play both - I don't know how people with more alts manage.)
Playtime kinda depends, my Exploration alt spent most of the Thargoid war drifting about 1kly from tthe Bubble.
My Bubble alt stayed in their carrier until my Main had become proficient with 'goid combat to copy the designs and unlock the engineers.
Because the alts are task specific they only use a subset of ships and kit so I only have to get 2 sets, 1 for the main and 1 for the appropriate alt.
Of course the Bubble alt is going to be all cosmetics...

I sometimes wonder if the steam metrics are wrong not because "not everyone plays on steam"
But because 80% of the players are alt accounts.

I pre ordered the python mk2.
Whilst a beautiful ship and compared to the fer de lance was a lot more useable for me... it is a REALLY awful ship, but it does look nice.

Corsair was the only other pre order.
Am not dissapointed in the corsair.

And am waiting till the cobrV comes out early access to pick one up. Sadly its paintjob selection is lackluster as is the paintjob selection of the type8 and corsair.
The mandalay at least has some neat paintjobs. Last weekend some cosmetics were on discount so grabbed one for the mandalay...
...
And the Krait mk2 hazard ship kit. (But not the copy paste scam krait mk2 extraction ship kit)
Cause the krait is cool and has a fighter!
Plus now I have several of the hazard ship kits!

I think that would affect Epic more than Steam.

Mandalay's Griffin paintjobs are top notch, especially the blue-and-silver and red-and-gold from the Ace pack:

There are 3 real options for Cobra V: Chrome, Midnight Black and Planar Lime. After a bit of deliberation, I went for the last one, gives nice Lamborghini vibes and fits with my Nakato Kaine Powerplay pledge:

Can't believe there are so few paintjobs for Cobra V after 4 months; it should be the absolute darling of the team with the anniversary and all :) I think a lot of the old MKIII paintjobs could be re-imagined for MKV and become popular.

There was really no need to prove my point with a post like that:)

"Captain's Log, April 23, 3311.

After my disappointing return to the bubble from deep space, which was intended to finally buy the new Cobra MkV with the common credits, if it was finally going to be released to the general public along with the release of the new Gutamaya ship, and finally still not find it, I decided to undertake again a long journey to the farthest point known to man, Beagle Point and Semotus Beacon / Ishum's Reach (Oevasy SG-Y d0), what a trip, long as hell, even using my Mandy and the neutron star routes, it took me about a week to complete, and then I returned in another 3 days (since I was in a bit of a hurry XD), I am surprised by the length of the journey, but I was more surprised to find out that the Cobra MkV is not yet on sale to the general public, an extra week is already an impressive loss of market share since I don't think there are many buyers of this ship with the elusive currency known as ARX, and almost certainly the few who have it in abundance will use it for the new Gutamaya ship and not the Cobra MkV, it seriously makes you doubt the intelligence of Faulcon DeLacy's marketing department, 2 weeks waiting for more purchases with ARX is a huge loss of market, not only because they are not selling the ship en masse, but also because they are losing potential buyers of paint jobs that cost almost the same as the ship, I think there are more of these than those who buy the ship.

It seems like they are thinking with the ARX..."

There was no point to prove, was there?

It has been a fact, since release, that the player has a single CMDR (but can reset that at will), rather than a number of them. I suppose there will be some people who buy and are surprised by this, but a little research beforehand would have provided knowledge. (console players didn't have this limitation, insofar as multiple accounts can be held on the same console, and the software has to be made available across them)

Scam Citizen copied the 'one account / one player' model, (I have no idea about other MMO games, but no doubt you, or others do.) and there is no way I'd part with another penny to CIG, even though the faithful consider it to be the better game (a loose term, I think)

But, as long as you feel good that your 'point' has been proven, that is all that matters, isn't it?

The new one will be "my carrier is full", as this is the 42nd ship in the game, and the max you can hold is 40 on the carrier and 1 active.
just for the OCD in me i kind of hope FD manage to tweak the numbers to accomadate a few more ships.

my dream has always been a ground base where i could land all of my ships in a massive area all visible like a giant show room

but i suspect this is not realistic.

Looks like the whining will stop for a while now :)

On the other hand, whining will commence from those who bought the C5 on Easter sale🤪

Like I did. But I won't complain because I had a ton of fun with that ship over the weekend and I had most of the Arrrx needed on my account already🙂 (I also had a strong hunch that this would happen shortly after the Easter sale before committing to the purchase, so I have no-one to blame, anyway)

Always good to start with a perjorative comment.

Four and a half months is the record .... so far. Will the beaky one stretch it to five?
