Newcomer / Intro Cockpit UI Focus Issue

I'm having difficulty using the UI Focus button in the cockpit today. Yesterday it worked fine, pressing the button would cycle as follows.

Left UI > Forward > Right UI > Forward > ...

However having come to the game today, it is now doing this

Left UI > Comms Panel > Forward > ...

and not going to the Right UI at all.

I've checked the control assignments, nothing has changed since yesterday. I have a button on my joystick mapped to UI Focus and set to toggle, and haven't mapped the same button to anything else.

I could map each UI function to a different button to get around that, but I don't have enough buttons on my Joystick to do that and was rather liking having access to the UIs from a button on my joystick.

I'm also having the exact same issue, been having this issue consistently since gamma 2.04. Sometimes if I restart the game it works for a while then returns to the cycle above. Seems to be a bug :(

It seems to do the cycling through if you tap it several tims in rapid succession.
Annoys the pants off me, as I'll quickly flip to the left to check Contacts or subsystems and then flip back to the action, which then results in typing "WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW" in the chat box!!

I have found that flipping into the UI and then pressing a key or two, even if it's just moving the menu selection highlighter thingy around a touch, will then allow you to flip back without issue.

TBH, it's mainly the left UI you'll need the most, so I suggest either mapping the key/button to that one only and using other keys for the rest, or simply using a set of keys (arrow keys, perhaps?) as standard.
Or, if you have a HOTAS either have the Focus UI set to Hold, whereupon you'll have to press one of four keys/use the hat to select which UI you want, or just map one of the hats solely to the UI.
