'Panic at the Diso-code'!
To be perfectly honest I have had boils on my posterior more pleasant to deal with than my run in's with this particular group today. Is there even a legit in game reason for them to be blocking this goal? It seems to me that pirates would want more rare goods available at the station so that there are more to *ahem* relieve people of at a later date......
I do not think money is the motivation which makes the behavior very much not pirate like at all.....but I digress.....it is what it is.....Mobius is looking better all the time.....how does one go about joining?
Edit: BTW giving people advice to log out the correct way by going through the menu isn't very good advice either.......my cousin did that earlier in his Python because he didn't have much money and they killed him like 20 minutes later when he was helping me test something regarding trade dividends and whether one could receive them while being in the system in supercruise and they said nothing beyond "Die combat logger" sending him back to the beginning with less than a million credits. He may stop playing the game now and honestly I can't say I 100% blame him.
You could switch to group or solo or just quit the game if this isn't something you'd like to experience in open.
Ever heard of this nebulous weird thing called "an En Pee Cee"? I've heard it's all the rage these days. You should check it out.
Well, I had my second run in with the Code and this time I am a little upset about it.
Submitted to the interdiction and was asked politely to submit to a scan, cool. But I am unaware as to why this is going on.
The person that interdicts me, I am in a hauler, unarmed, he in an Imerial Cruiser, tells me that it appears I am supporting the terrorists and I am to drop my cargo. I ask why they are terrorists and he fires on my claiming I am trying to stall. Not going to say what I thought of that player at that moment, but as I am in a clearly outclassed ship a little bit of leeway would have been nice.
I drop my cargo and he rambles on about how asking questions is a stall tactic. Maybe if I was in a larger ship, yea.
Not cool Code, not cool at all. I am allied with the Alliance and was going over to check this out, asking a question when there is no notice of a blockade is reasonable and to be met by force, well that is a little low.
If it were a warzone I could understand, that is called attrition, this though... Well it seems the Code is a little on the Dictatorial style..
It really disturbs and saddens me a bit that most people's solution to poor player interaction on open is to punish yourself by playing solo or with a PVE group.
As a former EVE player, I equate that to staying docked during a war-dec/not logging in--Or buying a sports car and staying in the slow lane because you're worried you might get pulled over.
Open is going to have people who are out to grief or just plain dumb. It's something you have to live with on open and I think OP realizes that. It's also going to have people who are genuinely interested in interacting with other pilots and adding depth to their gameplay, and this is something that you will not find on solo, and in a private group it is less likely to be spontaneous.
CODE is one group I have already seen people band together to fight against. Why not suggest something like asking for an escort from anti-CODE groups? Make open more interesting, don't lock yourself away from social interaction.
IMO this game will live or die based on the multi-player aspect. If people can't find a way to live in open I don't think people are going to keep playing this game for years to come if they're playing alone or in a pure PVE/risk-free environment. Things get dull and repetitive in that environment. I played EVE for almost ten years and the main reason I stayed so long was because of the social aspect of it and the friends/enemies/stories that developed as a result of social interaction.

Yeah, I agree. The actual logic for these blockades seem to be "We own Lave, let's kill everyone doing any CGs in the region".And this is all off-topic. This is not piracy, this is just another excuse for RPK on some flimsy RP reason.

Almost makes me want to take my Anaconda trading fortress there and try my luck....almost. Then I move along my merry way in Mobius, making money. Almost trade Elite, no time for petty bickering.

Guys ..
Really simple solution... Just give up and run to Solo or Mobius.
Its safe in there!
You can play alone as part of the COMMUNITY goal.
Or you can play alone in a group as part of the COMMUNITY goal.
Don't worry. In Solo or Mobius, the only thing you have to worry about is NPC's and we all know how super awesome they are. Gave me chills writing that.
Then while you play Elite : Space Truck Simulator and complete all the goals with out ANY form of resistance, you can sit back and look at all the ships, credits and total lack of skill you have and feel.... AWESOME.. Because you managed to beat The Code in environments they cannot interact with you, as part of a COMMUNITY goal.
YAY!!
Mobius and other details for Easy mode can be found at http://elitepve.com . Tell them Majinvash sent you!
And remember, the 15 seconds combat log is a totally legit and awesome technique to use! One that shows the real steel of your character!
YAY!

The Code are horrible and untrustworthy. They are a cancer that must be stopped.
...and I for one am glad that they, and groups like them, exist in the game. They add character to the game. They provide conflict. They can really, really ruin your day. But in the end you came here to this forum and shared the experience you had with this one "bad apple". One thousand interdictions by NPCs aren't noteworthy at all. Once encounter with another player in the game and it is worthy of remembering and telling people about it.
Here's my advice: ENJOY being angry with Code. Make it part of your game. They're now the enemy and when the time comes to give them a black eye... be ready!

Got something to prove there, buddy? lol
