Colonia left outside the loop again??

Since I couldn't find any distance info about the collinization, just wondering if anyone here knows about colonia? I see the contact person in there but hes not accessable. Are we left outside again? Or am I doing something wrong?
Just asking since fd's for years have wanted us to get outside the bubble and maybe grow, but seing that we again are being left out is kind of forceing colonians to completly leave this if we want to participate in the latest.
This I really dont get, first ask people to get away from the bubble and now forceing people to go back leaving the big open space world empty.

Could just be me, but i think this is sad as hell.

well that kind of sucks for us if the prices and so on are gonna get higher after the testing is over then... They did say that this beta is for testing out if the resources are enough or to high. That could end up being a veryy much more expensive thing to get involved. It could ofcause also end up being cheaper. But it wouldnt make sence to go back to the bubble to start something that im gonna leave again thats just not worth it. But its still a little sad colonians are left outside

Have we gotten any official word on when (or even if???) Colonia will open for colonization? I don't want to sit here spinning my wheels waiting for something that will never happen, but I also don't want to spend an irl week jumping my FC back to the bubble only to be hit with "surprise, it opens next week"

Yeah I'd like to see it hit Colonia too but I think after the beta period it might up there or maybe even to any established system over a certain population (or other dynamic) would be neat.

I haven't seen or heard anything about this happening from any livestream or official dev post. They did say it's going to be Bubble centric first but no timeline on when it'll be arriving in Colonia.

Exactly, and I remember them asking us to go be outside the bouble, they wanted us to explore more of the galaxy and then this, leave colonia out of expansion options in my opinion is bad

With even the smallest outpost needing about 4000t of CMM Composite and the total supply across the entire Colonia region being around 800t, I don't think it's ready to start colonising new systems from yet.

Why are they giving non-answers on this? It's quite obvious that colonizing Colonia itself isn't what people want and isn't the question. Why can't they just say either yes, we will allow colonia to be a base for colonization or no, it will exclusively be the core systems for the foreseeable future

This colonization feature is supposed to be about expansion and player's making a difference on the galaxy. The current iteration boils down to player owned systems within a very small radius of the bubble. It will expand so slowly ( 29 years to build a bridge to colonia) that this is NOT effective expansion and colonization
