colonisation: how to find out the type of installation?

I have built several installations on planetary surfaces or in planetary orbits and after some time I can no longer find out what type of installation it is, e.g. installations for extraction, tourism, etc.
The system overview does not contain any helpful information.

Does anyone have a tip?

It is sad... But you can use the rename function. This will display an icon that will tell you what facility it is. Not which model facility.

For installations you can visit and scan them

Effects values and symbol under renaming menu are leads to installation type.
