Newcomer / Intro Colonize with friends

Hi all! Sorry if i am asking something stupid (probably I am doing it). I wanted to come back to play ED with some friends.

The question is, can we play private and create a colony that belongs to the squad (or clan or whatever)? (Does my question make sense?)

I know there is a pause right now, just asking if you can do it in the future.

Yes and no! You can play in a Private group limited to just you and your friends but the colony like all stations will be available in all modes so others could also haul stuff to build it.
The colony belongs to the minor NPC faction you bought the license from with 3 other factions also included the third place faction will be the one your squadron (if you had one) was aligned with unless that faction was the one you bought the license from.
Once the colony is complete the architect, a single player, can still add things to the system and will have his name on a notice board but won’t be treated any differently by the operating facilities than only other Commander.

I know there is a pause right now, just asking if you can do it in the future.

The pause got lifted last Friday hence all the symptoms of overload during the weekend.
