I'm aware of another color-related suggestion, but what I'm suggesting here is the same thing that was in RCT3, which let you paint specific track pieces on a coaster a different colour to the rest of it, which allows for things like Top Thrill Dragster's launch track or the two halves of Twisted Colossus.
Even though it's no longer piece-by-piece building in the same way as RCT3, it does seem like you'll still be placing sections of track (of varying lengths/sizes).
