I got the 15th reward when I released the 100th gorilla. And I haven't tracked it, but if I remember it correctly, you get more rewards in the beginning between releases and less after around 50. I believe I needed 20 gorilla's between 80 and 100.

Did you get 15 rewards BEFORE 100? Given how long it takes them to grow up and how few children they have this seems really lopsided if it is actually 100/15 or 6-7 gorillas per reward.

I got my 15th Reward when I released my 100th Gorilla. I released 101 gorillas - I stopped releasing them after my 15th reward, assuming it was the last based on the Bengal Tiger Challenge.

You posted on a two year old thread lol. That's what bumping is. I think they prefer if you just make a new thread to ask a question. As far as your question goes, last time I checked only Franchise counts for those.
