Completing CG oddities...

Hey all,

Logged in earlier today to "complete" the current CG. I.e. Click the big "Complete" button as I'd logged off still docked at the source station. Noticed there was no complete option. I had no outstanding bounties to hand in, I'd done that last night before logging off. I logged off.

Logged in again this evening, still no Complete option. I wonder if perhaps the CG had been extended or something and I'd missed the memo. So, I went and did a little bounty hunting again. Got a few bounties, not many, just a quick play session this eve, and returned to the station once more. Still no option to complete the CG. Oh, ok, perhaps it has indeed been extended then. So, I hand in the bounties I'd earnt over the prior 15 minutes, noticing they did NOT count towards my contributions. However, only after handing them in, then checking the CG again did the Complete option finally appear.

Now, previously, by the time a CG ends I've usually flown off and am doing other things. As such, I used to rely on getting the rewards automatically some time later. So, what should have happened here? I assumed the Complete button for the CG would be present after the Thursday tick. That's it. Why did it take so long to appear, is that normal?

It's no problem, all sorted now, I'm just curious.

This CG ended after the weekly tick, so in this case the tick is not related. There also seems to be one hour after the end time that you can't turn it in.

I've noticed that after logging in, it takes a few minutes for CGs to appear. I had to open the board twice (well after the end time) to complete it.

It was like 10+ hours after the tick that the CG was still showing as "Live" for me. Dunno why. I did complete it eventually of course, and got the money. Totally forgot about the KWS!

That was the old me. If you recall, I had an issue where Port Forwarding had been reset after an update, and I didn't realise. Only when I checked closely, did I realise what'd happened, re-apply the settings and stuff started working pretty well again. So, in that context, the CG not having a "Complete" option many hours after the Thursday tick was a bit odd. If I'd been logged on the entire time, that's one thing, but as I had logged off and back on again twice and the Complete button still did not appear, that is odd.

Yeah, I've no doubt they'll be there when I next log in. Not quite sure when that will be though.
