I just wanted to say, as someone that's been here (off and on) since Kickstarter, Fdev you've done a great job!! 
The past weeks of build-up to the arrival of the stargoids and all that, wonderful!
The actual arrival cinematic, chilling and thrilling!
The fact that we're getting a proper War scenario with system losses and invasion mechanics, incredibly exciting!
We've been told to expect a slow roll-out of stuff as usual, and if this is the starting point... wow!!! I'm absolutely thrilled!!
Also I really feel that Fdev have stepped up communication with the community lately and been really trying on that front, which has been awesome. @sallymorganmoore has been fielding questions and dealing with issues like a god of the forums!
No spoilers for anyone who hasn't seen it yet, but just wanted to say the visuals, atmosphere and stuff around the Maelstrom itself is so cool and creepy and terrifying!
