About to Start Uboxing Now.....
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dad reckons I should unbox and try out the Equaliser, Sub-Woofer, Twin-Speakers first. See if they work properly.
About to upload the
New Uber-Computer and Accessories Unboxing videos to
You-Tube right now. I'm may soon set the machine up soon to see if works as it should, but there are some snags we have discovered already.....
Nice one go get it set up fast I want PICS
Will videos do, although sometime my
Handy-Cam takes snapshots highlighting the videos while it's recording. So I will see about those as well.
My new rig just arrived.
Unfortunately, I'm at work til late.
Double unfortunately, I'm having to extract the RAM, ship it back to Overclockers so they can ship me the 'correct' RAM that should have come with it.
So I guess Xmas is delayed
I've just discovered they didn't include the
Norton 360 Anti-Virus like they promised. MY only prior hint would have been when I reminded them to add some speakers and they said they needed to optimise my list of parts to say under the budget. So, They took off
$70.00 AUD and told me they were no longer having the Graphics Card overclocked. Which they said wouldn't make much of difference for what I would be using the computer for and then they said they may have to knock some else off or use a much cheaper part and I said no don't. I will simply pay the damages with the money I have got. They calculated this and this upfront payment came to
$246.00 AUD. They didn't really indicate I had to pay this now until prior to having it delivered to their store last night. (It's 1:25 AM right now) Luckily I actually had
$274.00 AUD still in my bank balance at the time. They must have crossed off the Anti-Virus software. Which is pretty important when I may need to go onto the net to download the game
ALPHA. Hopefull I can visit them again tomorrow and just buy it with the money I have left.
Otherwise, I will need to wait until Monday morning (Anytime after 12:00 AM Midnight Sunday).
Like I said, Anti-Virus software is essential to being online. I can't really use the new computer without it and I even recall the other salesman telling me this while I was picking out my computer accessories Friday last week.
The other sang sis that my dad reckons after he did preliminary connection of all the major peripheries to the tower. He said there are not enough ports to go round. There are only four ports and the keyboard and the mouse take up all four. (Well, I think that's what my dad meant.) There were also two antenna that needed to be ported. They were packaged in the box the motherboard came in with all the other surplus material. So, perhaps they are surplus as well. We are both not sure if they are both really needed and perhaps they another two port would be freed up if they weren't used. I'm not really sure and we still haven't connected the speakers yet.
Damn, I hope I don't have to return the flipping tower/gaming case. I'm rather attached to it and I don't have much more money to spare. At
least it's still under warranty. Though if I try to replace it now, I may have to wait another week, and I though it would be ready by this weekend
