Conflict Zones - purpose

Hello everyone. I have posted the same thread on the Private Backer forum. I am an alpha backer and greatly enjoying the game.

I have located my first Conflict Zone in V886 Centauri. There are 2 conflict zones there and I visited and fought in both. I fought for an hour or so in each zone and the enemies kept on spawning. Also, I checked the influence of the two factions at war. It remained at 0% for both. I do not know why they are at war, since they do not have any influence on the star system anyway.
The point is that I do not see reason for a human player to fight in the conflict zone as there is no end goal or resolution. The conflict zones in the current game are exactly the same as they were in Alpha and Beta stages with the exception of the influence of the factions. What is the point of Conflict Zones? Please share your experiences and thoughts. Thank you. I think that Frontier should have added conflict zones as a timed event, where there is a point in fighting where one can either win or loose.

i think the only conflict zones worth fighting in, are those were both factions control a station. There is no other way to affect the outcome "i think" unless they control stations and you can hand in bonds or do war missions for that faction's station.

also alittle guide someone put together that may answer other questions. Also a big discussion in this thread about it.

I use them for money and kills...select a faction from the function menu and go nuts on the other side then goto my faction and cash in.

thank you for your responses. I find it quite dull to fight in a conflict zone with a never ending supply of enemies. I hope that Frontier fixes it and makes the Conflict Zones more dynamic.
