Congo Trail

Thought I would share the section of my (financially failing and possibly doomed) zoo that I'm particularly pleased with - the Congo Trail! Featuring animals from the jungles of Central Africa with my attempt at a scrappy scientific field camp kind of aesthetic.

For some reason, it's not letting me upload an image of the entrance to the area, but after a forest walk (which in a real zoo would probably be a walkthrough aviary), and, if you are lucky, a glimpse of the bongos, you reach a cave, with underwater views of the pygmy hippos

Beyond this are more views of the outdoor areas for the bongos and pygmy hippos, and the 'research station' which contains their indoor quarters, as well as those of the okapi, and the smaller denizens of the forest floor.

Continuing on, you reach 'base camp' where guest facilities can be found, along with a view overlooking the okapi paddock

Carrying on from base camp are the primates. The gorillas share their indoor house with the mandrills, and a statue commemorating Jaja, the zoo's first silverback, and progenitor of the current troop.

The chimpanzee enclosure was designed to be an immersive experience, where guests walk among the treetops, surrounded on all sides by the apes. Glass walkways allow the chimps to travel around above the guests and between the three main areas of the enclosure, each of which is designed to exhibit a different suite of behaviours.

Finally, if guests are particularly lucky, they might catch a glimpse of the most elusive beast; the pygmy centippo...

I hope your Zoo will earn enough Money in the Future. It's absolutely beautiful.

I need one of these 🤔
I've only had a Lion with 8 Legs😂🦁
I call it the Arachnoleo🦁🕷
Edit: just remembered, I've also had a leucistic 3 headed Peacock in another Zoo and even a Picture exists of this Animal

Thanks everyone! I might try and rebuild it in sandbox and iron out some of the details so money isn't a concern. If I had planned it properly, it would definitely be achievable to have a boat ride going around all of the habitats as an alternative way of viewing the animals, but I don't think it's really possible with the current set up without pretty much starting again, unfortunately.
