Conservation for parrots

The animal trade should also be something that is looked at.. this includes things like reptiles, amphibians, birds, ect..

I mention birds in the topic because birds are a big problem. There are now specific bird rescues here in Western NY just to help parrots that have been sold for pets. The bird trade (catch, capture, and sell) is live in well my friends.. and in all honesty, we have enough of these birds in captivity. We don't need to be destroying the wild populations.

A few birds:
Macaws (to many different types to list them all)
Cockatoo's
Conjures (to many to list separately as well)

There are some parrots that have become endangered due to the pet trade.

Id like to add fischers lovebirds to your list. They are on the "near threatened" list. Ive got one, such lovely birds, full of energy and loving.

would like to get a decent list .. because the issues these animals face are dangerous. And it is going to be sad if we lose then in the wild.. They don't deserve that.

Here's a comprehensive if expansive one. There are an awful lot of parrots! Wikipedia actually has a lot of useful lists of animal species by taxonomic group that are great for these sorts of questions, and they're filterable by conservation status. Just have to luck onto exactly the right terminology to find the page in some cases. This particular page comes with images of all the well known species, so it's particularly handy for selecting a visually diverse species roster.
