PC players shouldn't have to help migrating console commanders - Frontier should be finding away to transfer every ship, credit, material, rank point, and arx. But I'd gladly help where I can.
Mind you, the way some of the console players are now acting in the wake of this, issuing demands, flinging insults and threats around, calling all PC players "toxic", and loads more, that might be a limited time offer.
Yes... this is the priority, but any way I'm helping who wants to start right now.
The console players that I've met, are sad, but some is planning to come do PC; and I'll help them.

As someone who decided (finally) to use my free Epic Games copy of Horizons and buy Odyssey for it, the sheer weight of looking at a bare bones commander and ranking them up (at least one Elite for Shin Dez access), ranking up Fed/Imperial rank, unlocking all the engineers, gathering all the mats, and earning the credits to build a small fleet was something I was only able to do for one evening. I've long argued against "the grind", and everything I have in game under my main account came organically, just by playing. Still, that took thousands of hours that way - and I don't see many commanders wanting to start again from nothing.
And in fairness, they shouldn't have to. Console commanders wishing to switch to PC should not be additionally punished by having to grind all that out, even if it's "doable" in a couple of weeks. That's just... torture.

its just not worth supporting an company that abandoned it users. the new console elite dangerous game play is how fast you can hit the uninstall button.
may be time to get an PC for SC

Eh, I wasnt that impressed. Its okay.
For me, the biggest thing this says is that they have no interest in putting any more effort into this game. This is just a tacit admission that they're either too incompetent or short-staffed to make a console port of their expansion. This doesn't bode well for PC users either. I honestly thought maybe there was some hope when they made scanning and mining changes but it seems like they've confirmed that they don't want to waste any more significant resources on this game.

Let's hope FDEV create a path to migrate everything.
Sadly, it's too late for me. I just bought a PS5 and I'm really can't afford to get a gaming PC that can run both Odyssey and Cyberpunk at an acceptable level of performance.
Maybe next year, but I fear by then the final nail in the coffin will be driven for this game. I mean, I hope I'm wrong. I really do... but this doesn't look too good for the future of ED as a whole.

+1 for this. I know they said they have no plan to announce at this time but just how badly do they want to keep those customers? And what kind of reviews and write-ups in game-related magazines would they like to see?
