Console fixed weapons needs to be fixed.

I was under the impression that "sensitivity" was determined by your ships Pitch/Roll/Yaw rates + Speed + Thrusters/Engineering.

They aren't complaining about sensitivity specifically. Its about the fact that fine aim is very difficult with controller sticks because their range of motion is so small. What they are actually complaining of is a lack of input curves to allow finer aiming, or the autoaim they are accustomed to controller sticks using.

Right Ok, i must have missed the point somewhere 🤷‍♂️

Literally can't miss if you can aim them. Pretty simple. The only other weapons that offer hit-scan don't have the instantaneous punch. Lining up the reticle for a single shot on a small fast ship isn't bad at all. Holding your reticle on them while you wait for lasers to do their work, however, is another story. Combined with micro-gimbal effect, hitting a Viper from 2km with a Railgun is pretty easy and they aren't durable enough to endure many hits.

i see, distance seems to be the factor. i prefer to get close and hit them with plasmas, and usually also hit them with fixed thermal vent beam pretty confidently. i have to, or i would cook myself :D

Well I almost always use Short Range Railguns, was only using the 2km example to show how easy they are to hit.

OP I understand what you are saying and yes, extra sensitivity control would be nice, but.......everyone on console is in the same boat. We all use the control pad (or the HOTAS TM train wreck) which means no one is at a disadvantage really.

However, if all platforms played together in open, that would be a very different story.

well, they're somewhat special since there is the additional timing thing. i use almost exclusively fixed weapons, and fly mostly medium/small ships, and i use rails now and then but don't find them particularly easy to aim :D ofc it's just practice, everyone has his ways, and i might just be too clumsy :D hammers i found specially demanding, though, still have some around but don't use them anymore.

i do think they have the biggest psychological effect when you get hit by them 😅

There needs to be something implemented into the game like a sensitivity setting or something to compensate for console players Bc the difference in difficulty using fixed weapons with a regular Xbox controller compared to pc is ridiculous. Fixed weapons on pc is unbelievably easier and console is way harder, obviously mnk is better then controller but that’s why there needs to be something to compensate for console players Bc it’s a whole different experience and it’s annoying.

And yet some PC players choose to play with an XBOX or PS4 controller!

Perhaps you should slow down and give what I wrote a second look.

perhaps you shouldn't take me too seriously. i have a bad habit of making my points while dancing in jest on other's words. i understood what you meant even if the term "responsiveness" was not the most appropriate term, i just used that fact to hook in my own agenda 😂 ;)(y)
