I've been in the queue for about 50 mins. No problem waiting, but this seems very slow compared to others. No errors shown so hoping it's just a waiting game.

Ok quick question before I start the process. My Frontier account has my Xbox and Steam accounts both linked to it. Will I need a new Frontier account and then link my Steam CMDR to that, or can I go ahead as I am? Seen people having trouble when the 2 are linked.

You shouldnt* have any issues to continue, as long as your steam pc account does not have an active save file, and you deleted any account there... it should work with the same email, I'll be doing mine shortly and have a confirmation, I just need to boot up pc and nuke my existing account first
Edit: booting ED on my Steam Deck now to nuke my existing PC account, should have confirmation of same email transfer shortly after

I have a console and a PC account that uses the same name but I want to transfer the console CMDR as it has more playtime on it. Would I be able to delete the PC CMDR to keep the name from console or is the name permanently locked and I would have to change it during the transfer?
Same. Servers are probably swamped because of the onslaught.
I was in the same boat as you. Currently waiting for the transfer to go through and during the process I deleted my PC commander and entered the same name into the new commander name option. It let me select my console commander name as I had freed it up on the PC servers.
With how long each request takes to process they are likely getting requests faster than they can process them, an expected thing to happen imo.
