It is also confirmation that the plan is still on track, which is better than the alternative.
I know, I’m just getting impatient
Since they announced the transfer I’ve only really logged in once in a while to check on my carrier or do some CGs. But I lucked out and managed to get a pretty decent PC about 3 months ahead of schedule and I’m itching to get stuck back into the game properly.
My guess is that they'll want to make the process as smooth as possible to retain as many players as they can.
For myself I was hoping to to have all my stuff ready for transfer by today but RL got in the way. As such there's still a couple of hours work to do but it doesn't look like it's happening today so that shouldn't be a problem.
That's what I'm expecting to do, transfer my PS4 account to a new PC account but don't have a suitable PC as yet, but it should be there ready when I can get one or a suitable crap PC/Laptop/TV with GeForce Now apparently.
How would you set up a PC account without a PC? If you haven't guessed yes I'm computer illiterate and only want one because of the transfer
You'll need to register a frontier account, which you can do from your phone (or whatever device you access this forum from). Then when you (eventually) get a PC just download the installer & log in with your frontier account username & password.
Oh, ok so I can still take advantage of the transfer. I would have but didn't want to start again over 5,000 hrs would have been difficult to catch up on. Thank you
I don't envy your position, getting into PC gaming from a standing start is pretty complicated (and expensive), there are so many choices of hardware.
If you are looking for some advice on what PC hardware to buy ask in the PC section of this forum & there will be plenty who can help you to decide what to get. In general you get what you pay for - a cheap PC will not run games as well as a more expensive one, the trick is knowing where to prioritise the money and how much performance is enough for now, and for however long you hope to keep the thing for before upgrading again. Console life is considerably less complicated, just plug it in & play
See my above post, I am hoping that my extensive exploration/First Discovery stuff on PS will still count in the game so that when I do (or IF) move to PC, my discoveries are all there and so not wasted still playing on PS (even though just 3.8 and thus not all CG's will appear to me).
