Console Update

I'm pretty sure they have not always been negative about fdev or the game. Nor have they been entirely negative about various recent updates. It's just most of those points are just overcome with the things they consider bad and the good are lost in the forest or a distant memory.
I watched Yamiks and others' in the past so I know that already, and it's evident that your opinion correlate for one reason or another, but they would be wrong to suggest that the good things about Elite are lost in the forest or a distant memory, though it's not them saying it is it, that's you saying it.

But it's also not their responsibility to be impartial. Nor does their impartiality cause the game to be worse than it is.
I didn't say it was. I think you meant 'partiality' in your second use of the term.

They're not really impacting masses of people who haven't directly experienced the game - they're not that well known. They're being watched by people who are directly experiencing the game...so it's not like they can motivate people to believe something they wouldn't otherwise believe.
Have you not seen the posts with share prices etc.. posted seemingly with glee by some members, of course you have as there are some usual names that hit that like button when they're posted that also do the same for yours. You can blame FDev, and I will agree that FDev have blame, but there is, unfortunately, a reason why Public Relations and Marketing is an industry, and it's because opinions can be swayed towards the positive or negative and facts don't actually matter as much as image. Which is exactly why you see appeals to emotion and dismissal of fact based arguments in favor of narratives. So, in the sphere of influence that relates to Elite and those who would like to play spacegames, their opinions do matter and do have an effect.

This isn't like a political ad where you, as a common person have only your personal experience and you're relying on other people to give you insight in things you have no experience of or expertise in but need to care about like what is often in political ads and what not. This is like a book club where we're all reading the same book and there are some people who are not shy about talking about it - having mostly things that aren't nice to say about it as they read further and further in the story.
Yes, reframe the situation to a more narrative suited reference. See above.

I know you weren't baiting old chap, I was kidding along too like I normally do - you have known me long enough to know there is no real malice in my posts! ;)

Sadly, I am not sure what to do with it at the moment as I have had to hire a new self-storage lot down the yard by the station. I need to work out some security here - the badger family from my shed don't want to move, and they can't build badger houses in concrete.

Plus, I'm not going near them, since they started glowing from the overcharged PPs. I have a Latvian chap on the payroll, but maybe one of the other streamers will have time for some security work.

Anyway, I will have to get back to you as 6 years of stuphz is going to take up space. Don't sell it to any competition though, even if they offer you eggs in exchange.

Cheers buddy for being a good sport ;)
Who cares? None of that has anything to do with this thread topic.

It had already been mentioned by another poster before I informed you late comes who can't be bothered to read through the posts.
Do you think Microsoft/Sony look kindly on gamers that want to move their account to a rival gaming format?
Are you still mad?
Sony/MS already got their money, i'm sure they don't give a crap about a niche game like ED. Plus, FDev's API already has all our data it's not like they'd have to go to the console makers hat in hand.

But, you already know all this, so whatevs.

Nah, not even mad, just killing work time on a Friday afternoon.

Your posts over the years have been continually entertaining and just for that I would love to be able to give you my Stuphz.

I do a line in Concrete 'Beaver houses' I may be able to help you with a conversion. I'm not selling, I'm giving. Although digital transactions don't take up a lot of space unless you do Crypto.
Some peeps seem conspicuous by their absence.

Where are they all I would love a chat...

Cheers buddy, you're a good man, and I hope you don't really leave for good. Always good to chat with you too :)

Even if they did, at the point in time they made the statement, it wasn't a lie. That was their intention. Whatever missteps they took between the statement and them trying to fulfill that statement, doesn't change their intention at that point in time. You could say they overpromised and incompetent, but at the time of their statement, they didn't lie to you.
This.

My carrier is at Delkar 7E. Buy high value items, and sell them to me at a near-total loss. The buy orders are already set up in my carriers market. Or, you can choose someone you feel deserving.
Unfortunately I don't currently have the game installed, so to transfer my stuphz I would have to clear my drive, install, come and find you in one of my many ships and then transfer slowly bit by painful bit over many days, which would further contribute to my time in game which Was great but then became boring. Apart from the piloting which I will say to this day is Far better than any other piloting experience I've had be it in Star citizen, No mans sky etc. etc.

I even amassed 72 billion credits to buy a fleet carrier which I then refused to buy as the upkeep was designed to keep me grinding and in game and I could get places quicker in my Anaconda or Asp.

So is there a quick way to give a continuing player my Stuphz? I could just transfer £300 to your sort code and account but I wouldn't ask for that detail and I would then be £600 out of pocket and it is forbidden...

Genuine question here for some of the posters...

What coping skills do you employ to manage disappointment in day to day real life?
If your asking a genuine question i will answer that.
25 years of working in an extremely high pressure role where making a mistake could cost lives.
(moved on from that one now!)
40 years of studying Karate and using that to calm myself
Above all faith, it may sound stupid to some folks but im a Druid and my faith in the old gods has seen me through some very tough times.

Yes but the issue is they threw us under a bus and did not have profile transfers ready or even confirmed.
This decision I suspect was very recent, after significant effort to find a way to get EDO on console. Imagine the time and effort to get transfers ready, you're suggesting they should have held off telling console owners while they wrote the system? (because it would need to be an automated process, not manual)

As difficult as it is to wait, I would see what they come up with. It may not even be possible.

What I'd really like to see if FDev really feel guilty is a refund if any ARX that I have spent on the game. I'm not talking anything that I've spent already on cosmetics and ship kits or even the free ARX I've accrued (even though I earned them through playing their game), but the ones I spent my own money on through the Xbox Store. I have over 20k and there's others who have even more than me.
What will FDev be doing to soften the blow to those of us who have spent money in the game with the promise that Odyssey was coming and the future of Elite was promising. because a free transfer of my Commander to PC isn't even a gesture when it means forking out for a gaming rig.
Having shelled out money for hardware for a promise of software support that never materialized, I can relate, but there is no obligation for a refund and anyone trying to goad people into demanding one is trolling.

Answer: Nothing. I can guarantee it. The game is obviously not financially viable at all so they won't want to waste any more time or money on it.

Sony & Microsoft don’t care, we’ll get nothing from them.

Unless there is a contract breach between Sony/Microsoft and FDev, we’ll not hear anything I expect.

Thanks bud! I work from home, so i'm comfy. Appreciate the kind thoughts though.
Just for the record as you seem to think I'm some kind of Frontier fanboy. I only play(ed) the game in VR. Since Odyssey's release I haven't touched it except to keep it updated.
I just don't act up when things don't go my way.

Cheers Bottom Hat. How do we Save it? Can it be saved?
I did actually leave for a while and I realised I was getting annoyed at forum members because I was passionate about the game and it wasn't going in the right, or any, direction that was good for anyone. I hate to say I t... y.. s.
Another one was Mole HD he was a cracking lad with lots of great insight but he lived on an Hebridean Island Far far away from normal folks, predominantly on the SC forums. A voice of reason.
