Console Update

Seems to work for them - same engine for many games Like PlanCo, JWE, PlanZo, JWE2

F1 iirc will be a game with yearly updates, going on along the F1 championship - assuming they hit gold with it. And they might as well do it.
Racing has a much larger audience than Flying Ships in a Galaxy where punishment for loitering is Death
It's not even a racing game. It's a management game. Basically football manager but for cars. So expect just a lot of menus with some "illustrative animations" to brighten it up.

After a certain speed on the ground, I tend to pull back on the stick...

Also, F1 isn't for everyone, either.

Yes I would expect most of the excitement to come from the race controller/organising body changing the rules or how they are interpreted at some point during each event and how well you can train your pit crews and come up with a strategy. So just like the real thing the racing will be mostly a high speed procession, possibly with a fast forward so you don't have to sit there twiddling your thumbs for two hours or so.

F1 jumped the shark finally for me last year with the FIA seeming more like the organisers of Rollerball (the James Caan version).
It used to be the highlight of a weekend back in the early 00's for me and the friends I lived with. Always opening the home bar whatever the time to watch the races live. Happy days.
I've not bothered even looking at the results since the FIA sold their soul to Sky.

Yep. It's a far cry from the days of Murray Walker commentating on the battles between the likes of Senna and Prost, or Schumacher and Mansell. The "Drive to Survive" nonsense has made it worse, fabricating soap opera drama in an attempt to drum up interest. The second they switched the the hybrid engines it went off a cliff.

Or Hunt and Lauda.

The number of cliffs they have pushed F1 off is hard to count.
Ferrari have special status.
Compulsory pit stops.
Single tyre supplier, with their choice of tyres for the teams to pick from.
Allowing Turbo engines.
Banning Turbo engines.
Banning ground effect, underbody aero so overtaking was harder.
Making the cars...

...or you are all boomers that simply don't like change ;)

Every sport evolves and progresses with time and technology.

(BTW I've not watched F1 since the late 90's / early 00's)

But anyway, maybe it's time to get back on topic, if that's even possible at this stage.
