Constructing a specific Economy

Thanks very much, I will check it out
Yes it is indeed Raven's, and it's great! Along with DaftMav's workbook it makes designing and planning a system so much easier:

There's an intersting new development, 9 minutes in to this Buur Pit video - "bootstrapping a bubble":

Which leads to this guide: https://docs.google.com/document/d/...hKv7IO-qE/edit?tab=t.0#heading=h.26sbe5yptd82

Well you see the thing is if someone's going to write a guide I expect them to have tested the information in it. Otherwise they're not really putting in effort, they're just collecting other sources of information and publishing it as their own work. Throw in a bit of publicity from the Buur machine and soon everyone is following a factually inaccurate construction bible, all because someone was too lazy to practice what they were preaching... I'm not interested in enabling that.

That's the exact opposite of what Buur says - he says the information is derived from the practical enactment of the Orion colonisation bubble.

On another matter, what economy/geology is required to produce H. E. Suits?

High Tech. Ideally build an outpost or surface port with the intrinsic/built-in economy, boost it with neutral Development Level structures and/or HT settlements/installations (, and avoid weak links of economies that consume HE Suits).

Don’t rely on planetary influence as there is none which give you pure HT. And I’m not sure if Tourism or Industrial from ammonia world/gas giant respectively “eat” the suits. Not literally eat, to be precise. They’d probably be tougher and less tasty than old shoe sole.

Ah, nice, thank you. Does anyone know definitively which economies consume HE suits?

I have one or two ground High Tech but HE suits seem like rocking horse droppings round my part of the galaxy.

You can see consumption/production information for commodities in the in-game commodity market (if you're at a station which either produces or consumes it, at least)

For HE Suits, that's Extraction, Refinery, Industrial and Military.
(And what you can't see in-game directly is that the consumption rate is about eight times the production rate, so you really want a single-type HT economy for these)

Thanks - any one of the very few sellers of HE suits within reachable distance, as Inara shows me, will probably be my "role model" to copy in a minimalist system nearby.

Quick question in case anyone knows off the top of their head... what is the latest thinking on how to produce Muon Imagers (commodity)?
Is it a surface Industrial settlement or a surface High Tech settlement - or both?

Seen on Reddit (about 5 months ago?):

"Emergency Power Cells are exclusively produced in High Tech and Refinery systems within 30ly of the Akhenaten system, which is smack in the middle of the bubble"

Is this still true? Aside from the Trailblazer ships, is it impossible to create Emergency Power Cells any further out?

On a HMC i had build 2 Large industrial settlements before figuring the whole thing out,if i put the rest exctraction will it eat it?(5 slots)

If you build a station with a Colony economy type it'll pick up the planetary economy and that won't go particularly well - Industrial/Extraction isn't a great hybrid type.

But ... you can build a T1 Planetary Outpost with the Industrial economy built in. That will ignore the planetary economy type and just pick up the strong links from the settlements, giving you more industrial goods than you can possibly find a use for.

Actually it has a science outpost above(primary) what i wanted after seeing things to make it an exctraction economy i have system with 30 ice bodies for industry was wondering if exctraction could overide the two industry buildings
