i also posted this idea in the rct forum but it seeems like they dont listen anymore so i try my luck here;)


i think it would be awesome if u as park manager could start some contests ( maybe as a reward for the cleanest park or something ) to get a larger amount of peeps to your park

the possibilities are almost unlimited and would work very nice in addition to parades.


here are some examples for some nice contests:

eating ( hot dogs, pizza,)

cart racing

ice sculptures / sandcastles

dancing / singing (breakdance would be cool )

various sports contests ( armwrestling, minigolf)


i bet there are a thousand more nice possibilities so if anyone has a cool contest idea feel free to add it . if u dont like this idea thats also cool ;)

I don't know abouts starting the contests yourself, at least for things like cleanest park, but I thought the awards in the old RCT were pretty cool. I always liked getting the award for best roller coasters in the land and stuff like that. But these type of awards probably shouldn't be self-hosted.

Hosting your own things like hot dog eating contests could be interesting though. Maybe contests could be a 'ride' sort of thing. So you place a 'hot dog eating contest' ride down and it gets held periodically and they can just be used as normal seats when the contest isn't being held.

Or you simply designated a area/group of chairs to be used as the contest area. Then every so often a contest is started up by a local food vendor. Guests could gather around and watch and cheer for those who are eating. And the winner gets an award that you see if you click on them and look at what they're carrying.

I think it would be interesting to put rides in a "contest" mode or something of the sort. Possibly advertise it to the public, people could come to the park with something on their to-do list being to participate in at least one contest. I like the idea, but I think it can definitely be expanded upon. [up][up]

Specialy about the Go Kart and the Minigolf contest.

For dance contests/arm wrestling contests, maybe they won't have to be multi-person contests? Just two, possibly three people for dancing, and two people for arm wrestling? Maybe they won't be contests, but just random encounters on the paths of your parks? All of the other ideas sound more official, and should associated with rides/attractions.
