Engineers Core Dynamics Composites - A more reliable way?

Im currently getting Core Dynamics Composities, by looking for High Grade Emissions in Sol. The drop rate has been appalling. I’m now even struggling to find the HGEs at all. Is there a more reliable method or a different system I could go to?

OP. No, there isn't, trust me, I've looked. CDC is currently the most obnoxious mat in the game to grind IMO. Best bet is to go to a high population Fed system in None or Election state, turn on a movie and try to distract yourself from how much the HGE system sucks.

Anacondas rarely drop G5 (destroyed 10+ last night with a mate, saw 0 G5s), missions can have CDC, but I rarely see it. HGEs are unfortunately, the best way.

So i managed to get 30 in a 3 hour session. High population, fed, boom as most suggest. Going further out than the usually suggested 2000ls from the star, seemed to improve the drop rate. Around 20,000ls traveling about 80c was were i got drops containing several, might have just been rng though (probably). Sol was the system I used. This mechanic is indeed the worst thing in the game. Fdev should be embarrassed that most players need other sources of entertainment , to endure these parts of their game.

It's uncommon, but it does happen.

I like to do assassination missions and hunt down anas and corvettes. Gives some extra cash besides the bounty and they drop pretty neat mats.

I am getting quite a few proprietary composites in haz res. I know the mat exchange rate going up is not great but it is one way of getting core dynamics composites.

The quickest way to farm them is, sadly, HGE. If you don't need them desperately, trade them with other G5s you might have in surplus, or farm them together with others - for instance, combine any other HGE farming with a Fed-aligned system.
Or if you do bounty-hunting, keep an eye open for large ships that may drop them.

Did it in sol 2 days ago. Surprised sol was not in boom haha. No probs getting hge, maybe once every 10 min. Yes the drop rate in hge is like 2 or 3 only. Takes time
