It is not your Internet. The download is simply slow (0.02 MB/s, 3 days remaining time) here. Put I have 3 ms ping time to Google DNS server 8.8.8.8 and decent download speed (couple of MB/s) anywhere else. FD servers are simply overloaded.

Hmm, I'm not sure that it is fixed for me.

Should I be seeing it on my launcher? After login requester? At the main menu screen in game?

Probably just being dense. I hope so!

You should see the option ELITE: DANGEROUS - CQC BETA in the launcher. When you select it with mouse, the red button "PLAY" will change to "INSTALL". Click it and the beta will start to download.

People are commenting that they have the Lifetime Pass and have access to beta? I ddn't know that or am I missing something as I bought the LEP pre-release. Can someone help with my confusion please.

It is a pitty that the Beta is not distributed via Steam servers, like regular updates. Steam servers tends to be MUCH faster.
