Is it really THAT annoying? One of the options is not greyed out - truly terrible! Be reasonable.

In fact it's probably both low priority and severity and as such is somewhere at the bottom of the list.

I don't know if it's THAT annoying, but it's worth a chuckle at Frontier's expense, at the very least. At a certain point, I wonder if it'll transition from bug to Easter Egg.

Apologies if it was a joke :) Moderating the forums during big releases like that can be stressful and you tend to lose your sense of humour over time ;)

....may need some more testing, prior to today I was more or less being pulled out of supercruise every other time. I've only been playing 20 minutes now since the patch downloaded and I've been pulled out of supercruise 4 times and lost two eagles just trying to make it between Akerman market and Russell Ring, that's more ships lost in 20 minutes than the rest of my time playing the game.


I am dismayed by this change!!
I have been interdicted EVERY time between Ackerman and Cleve Hub this evening BUT WORSE THAN THAT I found it IMPOSSIBLE to evade interdiction usong the Escape Vector.
Previous to this update I have managed on most occasions to use the Escape Vector to evade interdiction BUT NOW it is IMPOSSIBLE!!
PLEASE go back to the previous settings where the battle was tough and could last a while but escape was achievable!
The new setting is NOT fair and is now weighted for to much in favour of the interdictor

Gotta spread the rep around first, but you guys all do a great job, especially on days like this.
 
Head tracking is no longer working for me in 1.4. I've messed with various settings in the options and have had no luck. I'm using a home-built webcam point-tracking rig, using opentrack (freetrack protocol).
 
Nice log.
Still a couple of issues. navigating the core is still as much fun as pulling teeth.
and this "little" bug has still not been fixed, I'll let Tinman's video explain.

Every bloody time there's an update my dl speed seems to drop to 0.07 MB/s after an initial reasonable start. I have a third of the update downloaded and now it's just stalled at this speed. This seems to happen with every big update and I end up having to wait until the next day. It's pretty crappy.

I've tried all the suggestions like pausing AV, disabling firewalls, un-ticking the auto detect network box in LAN settings. I've rebooted modem and router, all to no avail. Not that that I seriously think it's any of that stuff anyway, as the only thing ever affected is the ED launcher, and like I say it actually made an effort for the first third of the download or so.

Another evening wasted. Please sort out your bloody servers next time FD.
 
Under Stability fixes:

- Allow NPCs to start interdicting the player while they are charging for a hyperspace jump (but not once the countdown has started)

Under General Tweaks and Fixes:

- Don't allow NPCs to interdict if the target is charging their hyperspace drive - previously only blocked the interdiction during the actual countdown


Which one is right?
 
But you see, once again, you are ignoring the reasons as to why it has been added.

All of the people who enjoy it do not see it as a waste of time and money, as much as you might like it to be the game is not designed around you. We are not in the same situation as we were 30 years ago, times and gaming have changed and continue to change. Have you considered that if CQC brings more people into the game, a game that doesn't have a subscription to keep cash trickling in, it will help to fund future development?


That's all fine and I can deal with it, but I can't see any reason to needlessly push the information that I don't play mario cart into my face next to my mileage indicator. I am aware I don't play mario cart - that's why I don't need it displayed in my car (genius -I know).

I am also quite certain people who are into mario cart would be fine with having their mario cart score displayed on their console whilst playing it and wouldn't miss anything not having it displayed when driving their car.

If it was, I'm sure Nintendo would've come up with a "Mario Cart Score Display Device", attachable to the cigar lighter - they didn't because noone would possibly buy and even less miss it.

For some odd reason, FD decided mario cart is important enough to force everyone to see the progress in something they don't bother with in everyones face, regardless if you drive a Tricycle or an Aston Martin.

It's obnoxious for no reason.

I am RUBBISH at CQC .. colour me HOPELESS, probably forever!

Found the update runs very smoothly ..
Milky Way starfield washed out, for a couple of jumps but then returned, monitoring that one.
Refinery change is definitely for the good.

Perhaps it's not a bug and 10cr station repairs is now as sponsored by, Volkswagen?

Great job FD. Loving the CQC music. +400bn

Yes, a simple on/off toggle would suffice.
 
Now that is a big amount of changes and fixes. Great work FD. Nice to see this game is being given 100% all the time. Love it....:D...
