same problem here! The game crashes after starting a single player or multiplayer/group session on the loading screen, sometimes after less than a second with a black screen, or after 1-2 seconds with a rotating ship model. After that, the game is shutting down and a Windows window called "Internal Error" appears with the message "Machine Token can't be null" (null stands for zero).
There was no Windows or game update yet.
There is no issue with Windows FrameNetwork 3.5 or ED Launcher.
The firewall settings are untouched and Elite Dangerous is allowed to pass through. The 200 ARX Christmas Bonus was transferred to my wallet correctly, today! This indicates that there are no problems with the firewall.
Starting a Training session works fine!
I checked the game files for issues over steam: no missing or corrupted files found.
New installiation via Steam has no succes!
The last working start of the game was on December 18. The issue occoured after the weekly server reset!
Why does this happen at the worst time of the year, during the holiday season, at christmas? Please fix the problem immediately or give a workaround. Does everybody need to open a support ticket, now?
