I love the community-created videos for the parabolic billboard/4D ride, but I'm curious how to make them myself. There's clearly either some great camera work (how do you bank the camera?) or something else happening. It looks in some cases (specifically the temple one) they're ride cameras but with the track, cars, etc totally hidden. I've been away from the game for a few months--is there some new thing I'm missing here? Would LOVE to create these sorts of videos in game, and it's clearly possible since that's how these were done.

These videos were discussed on the stream today and originally they were rides that were submitted by the creators and the devs used some dev magic tools to hide the tracks. However there is a feature in PC that allows you to use a game controller to create sweeping shots (designed for YouTubers and content creators). Perhaps that would be useful?
Thanks for the update! Too bad it's not an option to hide the tracks while in "Ride Cam" mode. The devs should introduce it as a cheat 
I've tried using a gamepad to control the camera (yes, I switched to "Free Mode") but unfortunately both my PS4 pad and a regular Thrustmaster gamepad don't work in PC. I can use them to control Steam and other games but in PC they aren't recognized Any magic settings you need to do in order to use the gamepad in game?
