Current Status of the Dinosaur Wishlist Megathread Pages 1-16

The following is the entire list of suggested animals and roughly the amount each one has been suggested, from pages 1-14 (Posts 1-280) of the Mega thread.

Use Ctrl and F to find the dinosaurs on your own personal top 10 wishlist, to see how much you have in common with the broader public.
Generally I'd say that if there's more than 10 or so suggestions from different people already, then it's safe to say that Frontier staff have probably made a formal decision on whether or not they plan to do it.

There are some 252 dinosaur suggestions (about 16% of all dinosaur names!), 8 Hybrid suggestions (2 of which are from a different IP) and 88 Non-Dinosaur/Bird suggestions, of which it has been made clear that only Dinosaurs (Non-Birds) and Hybrids are potentially valid suggestions.

The top 10 most often suggested are:
Therizinosaurus - 64
Dryosaurus - 55
Ouranosaurus - 51
Albertosaurus - 48
Pachyrhinosaurus - 46
Amargasaurus - 39
Plateosaurus - 36
Oviraptor - 35
Concavenator - 32
Utahraptor - 32

So the maximum commonality score is 438, with the minimum as 0.
The system isn't perfect, with a fair bit of recapture bias, due to multiple posts from the same individuals.

No problem, one of the dinosaurs I was mildly surprised wasn't on the list was Brachytrachelopan, though I'm fairly confident Frontier knows it from a few of the DLC ideas posted late last year.

Guess the next will be Acro or Therizino ;)
It should be, they are quite above the others.

Therizinosaurus - 52
Acrocanthosaurus - 51

Dryosaurus - 43
Ouranosaurus - 42
Albertosaurus - 41

Among the 5 the most expendable is undoubtedly Ouranosaurus. We have so many hadrosaurs in the game that we have lost count. I would only add it for two reasons: It is very requested (obviously) and in Africa we only have Kentrosaurus as a herbivore. The rest is all carnivores. We need to add more variety to the African continent.

Dryosaurus for Morrison Formation would come from pearls. A small herbivore among both giant it would add more wealth to a formation as famous as the Morrison.

And finally my dear Albertosaurus for the Horseshoe Canyon Formation where there is currently no carnivores. It would add variety to the formation and next to Acrocanthosaurus it would raise the population of large carnivores in North America that for now is very scarce. We only have T-Rex, Allosaurus and Ceratosaurus as carnivores there (and Cerato is also in Portugal).

Ouranosaurus isn't a hadrosaur though, it's an Iguanodontid of which we only have one right now. Yes we have quite a bit of fairly large herbivores, but we are sorely lacking them in Africa. Carcharodontosaurus and Spinosaurus need some dinosaur meat too.

And even though Dilophosaurus is incorrectly placed in Asia in the game, it's actually exclusive to North America. Ofc it's also fairly large irl.

I actually think Acrocanthosaurus is the most disposable of these five dinosaurs since it adds the least to the table. We already have quite a bit of carnivores in North America and we already have two Carcharodontosaurids. Both Acrocanthosaurus and Albertosaurus are probably the least distinct looking in this list of five. But Albertosaurus would nicely fill in the lack of any other Tyrannosaurids.

Carnivores "exclusives" from North America in the game:

-Allosaurus
-Tyrannosaurus Rex
-Troodon
-Deinonychus

Do you think they are enough? They seem very, very scarce to me especially as for large carnivores. I do not tell Ceratosaurus since it is also found in Europe, for so many excavation sites there. We need Acrocanthosaurus and Albertosaurus there urgently, as well as Ouranosaurus in Africa due to the overpopulation of carnivores.

I really like how the list is building up. Not surprisingly, 4 of the top 10 dinosaurs were from JPOG (poor Homalocephale ). Which isn't bad, it would definitely help bring the whole OG dino list in game and add some nostalgic magic. I would love to see the remainder of my childhood dinosaur list make the transition to JWE.

I would be very happy if the top 10 got in the game eventually. It adds the right amount of species variety to the roster and helps make our exhibits more unique. I only wish for the game to get more african, south american, australian, (maybe antarctica) and european specimens.

Let us wait and see what we will get in store! The first year is almost done with 14 dinosaurs added in game. Hopefully the next two years will bring about the weird and wonderful that the general public will probably not know about. 🦖

Now that the Acrocanthosaurus and Herrerasaurus are in game, the new top 10 dinosaurs based on Pages 1-16 are:

Therizinosaurus - 52
Dryosaurus - 43
Ouranosaurus - 42
Albertosaurus - 41
Pachyrhinosaurus - 38
Amargasaurus - 31
Oviraptor - 30
Plateosaurus - 29
Utahraptor - 28
Concavenator - 26

2 carnivores leave and 2 carnivores enter, who will be up next in JWE?

The next carnivore should be of medium size. Albertosaurus is the best and most requested option.

If they release a pack of three herbivores it is clear that Therizinosaurus, Dryosaurus and Ouranosaurus must be part of it.

Yes I agree aswell Ouranosaurus is a member of the Iguanodontids

Huzza! With the new DLC confirmed we now have the Albertosaurus, Ouranosaurus, and Euoplocephalus in the game!

This renews the top 10 dinosaurs from Pages 1-14 to:

Therizinosaurus - 64
Dryosaurus - 55
Pachyrhinosaurus - 46
Amargasaurus - 39
Plateosaurus - 36
Oviraptor - 35
Concavenator - 32
Utahraptor - 32
Cryolophosaurus - 30
Coelophysis/Syntarsus - 27

sigh ...you can say that again... Jurassic Tyrant King has been posting the same suggestions just about every page from page nine onward...

Some people really need to learn how to use an edit button... now that they can again.

It seems like Frontier does listen to the community. But they also seem to prioritize canon dinosaurs. Of the most recent top ten that Pixelated Sparkster posted I think that Therizinosaurus and Plateosaurus are probably the least likely to be added due to likely needing a new skeleton rig. The other suggestions in that top ten are mostly similar to the existing dinosaurs in the game and thus easier to implement.
