Discussion Custom Button Box

Hi, sorry if this isn't the correct forum for posing this.
I have posted before about using a RasPi for a custom control panel and after some research I have come to the conclusion that an Arduino would be better suited to the application.
I have an idea in mind, and have bought a box to put my stuffs in. However I just have a few queries....
  1. How many momentary switches can I use?
  2. Where do I wire the push buttons to on the Arduino?

Any help will be massively appreciated.

Is anyone happy to share schematics and the like with me?

I don't know if you are set on building something smart but if it is just buttons you want I use these:

£50 for a pair - and they are recognised with no problems in E D, no drivers or anything needed, work a treat in Flight Sims too.

Yeah I was looking at these....ideally I'm looking for a bit of a project that I can get stuck into while the Mrs is busy doing other stuff.
Thanks though :)

That looks pretty damned cool....cant wait to purchase and build mine. Seeing other peoples builds just makes me all the more excited :)

I'll be interested to see what you make as well. there are at least a few simpits that I've seen for this game and everyone of them has been different.
